Hi,
I'm desperately in need of my advice as I have no clue.

I'm 36 skin isn't it's best looking.
Not spotty though I do get the odd one, suffered with blackheads all my life but that has calmed down now though my skin is very pore looking and oily.

I use Nivea rose care 3 in 1 wash/scrub / mask
I used Garnier Rose moisturiser on my nose as that used to get very dry but I can't use it all over as my skin feels greasy.
I take my make up off at night with micellar water.
I wear a little foundation and mascara.
If I'm going out out, then I occasionally put on blusher use bronzing pearls.

I have no idea what I used use daily to cleanse or moisturise.
And as for make up well, I'd love to invest in a bit more of a range.
But my face is fair, although darker than my pale body, so anything I put on makes my face look odd or orange!

Sorry it's long, I wanted to include everything! 🙈

First of all :

You don't need to spend a lot of money to have good skin . So anyone who tries to push expensive products ... ignore ! Same for anything like tropic - MLM crap .

Go to would be :

Properly cleanse and moisturize and daily spf

Ideally a PM moisturizer with niacinamide as this can help with oiliness

I'd recommend looking at
la roche posay
Avene
The inkey list
Cerave

You need to was micellar off properly btw

I'd start with perhaps just even cerave cleaner am and pm and their spf in the morning and at night cleanser after micellar and a their moisturizer with niacinamide in

Once you've nailed this and if it works for your skin you can consider further actives depending on your goals

Thank you so much for your help and the links!
I'll definitely give this a try.
So many times I've turned to Google and been more confused after the before I started.

Ditch the micellar and the gritty cleanser. Micellar leaves an oily film on the skin and needs to be removed. Gritty scrubs damage the skin surface.

You need any old (non gritty) cleanser
An Spf50
A vitamin C in the morning
A retinoid in the evening.
Any moisturizer that's right for your skin

Start by cleansing properly (as pp, CeraVe is recommended by dermatologists- and is a gold standard formulation)

If your skin is oily, you might find a salicylic acid toner helps. Nip & Fab so one, as do loads of other high street brands. Paula's Choice is often recommended but it's a 2% salicylic like all the other much cheaper ones.
