Wedding dress code for wedding: Dress to impress

I have a wedding in July, the dress code is Dress to impress. The wedding will be in a church and then a converted barn, my question is hat/fascinator or not? I don't have much experience with English weddings! (I am not from the UK)
This is the dress I am planning on wearing .

It's a bit fuzzy, the photo that is. From what I can see it looks good, depending on the church you may need to cover you arms

I agree about the arms. That could be an issue with some churches / denominations.

What is the plan for afterwards? I would definitely want a hat for an afternoon garden type wedding (or anything with sun exposure).

I hope you’ll have a great day!

It is a small church (Church of England) next to the barn - from what I know, the plan is canapes outside and then wedding breakfast inside the barn. The ceremony starts at 12:30

I wouldn't consider a fascinator to come under the 'dress to impress' category, would suggest a hat or a headband. And not a pashmina/shawl that you will spend the whole time fidgeting with.

Nice dress

The gold bangle (?) with it looks good. Maybe gold shoes or clutch?

Fascinators are a bit old fashioned wedding wear I think, although church & barn is old fashioned wedding territory. I’d look for some sort of hair accessory instead.

July in the UK could be any weather from 17 degrees and rainy to 40 degrees. Plan some sort of top layer as a back up for if it’s looking chilly. A shrug or jacket of some sort.

I don’t think the arms are an issue for C of E churches which it probably is.

UK churches can be cool inside, even if the sunshine is cracking the pavements. So it might be worth taking something to cover up with.
