Vinted selling

I really need to get rid of some clothes. I have far too many, lots never worn with labels. Especially shoes still with sole stickers, never worn, with heels that I will never wear now that I have spinal stenosis.
But I’ve never sold online. Vinted would seem to be the way to go. I can understand listing with photo but it’s the posting off that has me confused as I’ve only ever sent parcels via the local post office. Could someone who sells on Vinted please talk me through the method? I’m probably at a bit of a disadvantage living in a village rather than a town or city so don’t understand drop off places.

Before you list anything, you should check and adjust the settings on your Vinted as to what posting methods you'll allow. Many (all?) of them are automatically turned on, and you don't want a buyer to pick a method you can't send by. You can enable and disable them. One of the options is Royal Mail.

I set my postage as Yodel only as I just take the barcode to my local shop and they print the sticker for the parcel. It is so easy, no printer needed.

check Evri, Yodel, InPost websites and find your local drop of points. Evri and I think Yodel will print off labels at the drop off point if you don’t have a printer. InPost I’m not 100% whether it prints for you but it’s a locker you just put your parcel in so you’re not waiting in queues. Then tick options on your profile like pp said. Post Office is the only one I don’t have ticked as had too many bad experiences!

Yep really easy! As others have said, see what postage options are convenient. I only do Evri. Once an item is sold I'm able to download a QR code. This gets scanned at the drop off, label gets printed and stuck on, then hand over parcel. No need for a printer, just need to package up items.

I'm always buying and selling on Vinted, it's so easy. Definitely agree to sort your postage settings out first though. I don't have a printer so only send by Royal Mail or yodel as you can print in store. I send my yodel parcels from the local coop. Google where your nearest courier drop off points are and if you're happy with that then go for it!

I'm finding Inpost lockers quite convenient for posting my stuff because you don't have to rely on the shop being open.

Darklane · 14/03/2024 20:52

Thank you everyone. That has been really helpful.

I only do Evri, easiest in my area.
Make sure you include loads of photos and be willing to come down on the price, everyone wants a bargain!
