Have I made a mistake cutting my hair?

I've had long hair since my mid teens but since having kids it's got thinner and thinner so decided to have a good chop. I'm not sure if I've done the right thing! Does it look any better for it? I feel like a school girl with a bob! Ignore awful editing attempt at hiding my face!

Both look good. I wouldn't go shorter personally; I think women are always advised to cut their hair short but it's nice to have length while you are young.

I think it looks lovely and thick slightly shorter. It's not a drastic change in length, you'll get used to it very quickly.

I like it but it’s not really very different. I think you’d suit shorter.

Honestly, it looks the same, but healthier!

Excuse the bluntness but...it looked damaged & straggly before. Now it looks healthier.

you could go shorter or you could let it grow & book cuts before it gets too damaged/straggly!!

from the owner of straggly hair that needs cutting, it has become thin & damaged during menopause & ill never get the length back now, but I need to get an appointment booked because it looks dreadful!!

Id go abit shorter, just so its off the shoulder. You have lovely healthy looking hair but the cut kinda looks like a bob that you have already grown out!

By the way, it looks like there has been lots of shaping around the face in the first photo, I would avoid that as it's taking away from the volume.

It looks healthier and thicker now. I think this length looks good.

Interesting you say that shorter makes you feel like a schoolgirl because the long picture just looks to me like every single teenage girl I see on the school run.

The shorter style is much more grown up, in a good way.
