Is there a dupe for this cleanser?

I trialed this cleanser and really like it, but can't afford £26 on a small bottle of cleanser!! Is there a dupe out there? I thought the exfoliating would irritate my skin but I've been using it just in the evening and it's made it so soft and lovely!

Looking at inci, the exfoliating ingredient is salicylic acid. Is that right? It's not a gritty exfoliator?

If that's the case then yes, there are loads. CeraVe have a cleanser with SA in as do Boots derm solutions. Superdrug probably have one.

You never need to spend loads on a cleanser- it doesn't stay on your skin long enough to do anything other than clean it. But if this has SA as an oil reducer and exfoliator then it does do a bit more, but there are definitely much cheaper ones. CeraVe is a gold standard dermatologist recommended range.

Is it a wash off cleanser?

Looking at the ingredients it's looks like its a hyaluronic acid cleanser not salicylic. Cerave is probably your best best bet but all supermarkets and places like superdrug will sell their own versions for much cheaper. As pp has said cleansers are not worth spending money on as they don't stay on your face long enough for any actives to have an effect. The main ingredients in the clinique one for your £26 are water and sodium laureth sulphate (a foaming agent)

No it's gritty. I really have to splash my face so many times to get the "grit" off! I have really sensitive skin so it's hard to find one that doesn't irritate it. If only it was cheaper!

Skin care experts do say not to use gritty exfoliaters every day, they're really harsh on the skin. If you love this cleanser could you make it stretch by using it 2 or 3 times a week and use a cheaper one like Cerave in between?
