Cold office wear

I've just started a new job and the office is absolutely baltic and im struggling to dress warmly whilst still feeling/looking professional.

Any ideas for smart fitted, warm jackets?

My go to work outfit is wide leg trousers and a top. I don't like blazers as I feel too baggy on top, same with cardigans.

Fitted cashmere jumpers are smart and lightweight but warm. M&S and John Lewis or Brora and Johnstons of Elgin, depending on your budget (I rely on eBay and secondhand cashmere for the pricier brands).

My office is the same! We all bring an assortment of wraps and shawls! We could be extras in Oliver Twist!

Thermal vests, and also those Japanese kidney warmer things, are very useful.

Some of those heat tech tops to go under your outfit, I like the ones from M&S and Uniqlo.

I used to have a double breasted jacket which was made of fleece, it was bloody lovely until it started getting tatty, would love to find something like that again for chilly offices. Maybe try a jersey blazer?

Our office has faulty heating at the moment but I have to say "smart" has gone out of the window. I've been wearing thermals, wristwarmers, black or navy wool or cashmere jumpers and sometimes a snood/cowl type scarf. If you aren't allergic I'd go for pure wool.
I have a Community Clothing lambswool jumper and it's so thick, almost felted, but a very neat shape.
Also those boiled-wool soft jackets are very warm, they are not very on trend but sometimes come up on Vinted.

Or this kind of thing, maybe size down for a neater fit https://www.sezane.com/en/product/betty-cardigan/ultra-violet#size-XXS

I have a range of heat tech thermal tops, fleece lined tights and then shawls & ponchos

Silk thermals if budget allows - Lands End are great for them. Also wool socks - if your feet are warm, the rest of you feels warm too.

Merino base layer or cardigan
