Suddenly allergic to eyeliner!

I don't know if it's because I'm older (40+) but I've suddenly become allergic to the Rimmel eyeliner I've been using for decades! My eyelids become itchy and swollen, but I love wearing eyeliner. Does anyone have any recommendations for eyeliner that is good for sensitive skin?

Have you tried another one in case it's just an off/bad one?

How old is it?

Has it developed a bacteria for the want of a better word?

I think I got this one at Christmas, so not too long ago (at least for me). Maybe I'll try another one, I guess I jumped to the assumption that it's something wrong with me as I get older 😳

I have sensitive eyes and Clinique is a good brand for me

Lavera organic products seem to suit me......I seem to be allergic to everything, particularly artificial perfumes. You can suddenly become allergic to something you've been able to use before, I did with soft and gentle deoderent that I had used for years🥴

I've had issues with the odd eyeliner and eyeshadow, it's an age thing I think sigh.... I'm okay with Boots 7 . I'm fine with a Sephora one.

Perhaps they changed the ingredients. My dd has just had a patch test - well, I say A patch test, it was one hundred and eleven patches...to see what was causing her skin reactions and the consultant said that companies change the ingredients all of the time because of thongs like price, availability and new chemicals being 'invented'.

It's very frustrating when companies change something that didn't need fixing!

Thanks all for your suggestions, I'm going to try them out. I've given Rimmel enough of my money over the years and am overdue a change!
