Should I be demure and mature or Start WW3?

So my Sil's wedding is coming up and I'm looking for an outfit, but not sure which way to go.

When I got married my bridesmaids choose a particular shade of pink (kind of salmony) In order that the family photos looked good I gave all interested parties a colour swatch to match into. my sister-in-law did not like this and felt i was telling her what to wear when i spoke to her I tried to explain that this wasn't the case, but it's nice to tonally match in whatever colour you want. The only colour I would advise against was red as this would obviously look horrid against the bridesmaids and everyone who had matched (eg all my family) so yep she choose to wear a little off the shoulder scarlet number.
This is just the tip of the iceberg on much of her bitchy behaviour

Now question is what do I wear, my sister wants me to go in some outlandish colour that'll completely upstage her, but I want to make sure I look good.

Should I be a grown up, go all out or somewhere in between.
anyone got any ideas on what dresses might be good
I'm currently a size 12 (well 13 if they did that) and darkish blonde if that helps

The other factor is that I'm hoping to be in the early stages of pregnancy so would need to bear this in mind

I've been looking but only seem to find little black dresses
