Thread lift for hooded eyes

A local salon has advertised a thread lift for hooded eyes. It seems very cheap at £100. Has anyone had this, if so does it work? Or does anyone think it's a bad idea?

I'd never put threads near to my eyes personally. having a thread sewn into your face sounds like a recipe for disaster at the best of times but near the eyes is asking for trouble.

If your eyelids are so droopy that they impede your vision they can be operated on by the NHS

They aren't that bad. Yet.

No I have never heard of this but it doesn't sound like a good idea! Both cheap and risky are my thoughts. I wouldn't do anything near the eyes unless clinically necessary, but this seems a more risky solution than surgery.

Never heard of this. I have however, had my eyelids operated on (upper and lower bleph), and am very pleased with the results. Would recommend if you ever wish to go down this route.

I'd love to but can't afford it unfortunately.

Any cosmetic surgery is risky. I've got hooded eyes but I'm ok with looking like I'm getting older, because I am! If it goes wrong it could make it worse in the long run. I would only agree to surgery for medical reasons, like if they were impairing my vision or something.

Thread lifts are not very long lasting and very poorly referenced by most plastic surgeons. They don't have a great outcome for most patients.
