Can I achieve shiny glossy hair in my 50s?

I'm late 50s, hair is in a longish bob, straight and fine. It looks dull! When I was younger it was shinier, more healthy looking and easier to style. What products would you recommend to try to regain some of that?
I've always been a bit wary of leave in conditioners or anything that might leave my hair a bit sticky, I just can't bear that sensation and like to feel my hair is squeaky clean. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Use shampoos and conditioners that are SLS and paraben free.
It can take a couple of months, but I soon started getting comments about how lovely my hair looks and it is super shiny.

@YoureTheOneBeepingTheHornOverACheeseBurger thanks. Is there a particular brand you use or do you switch around?
I hear conflicting views on this! Some people say it's best to switch every now and again while others swear by a particular type.
Has anyone tried Klean Hair products? I'm in a hard water area and I do wonder how much this affects my hair

I’m similar. Have given in and now use Colour WOW dream coat supernatural spray in stuff. Not sticky at all and looks amazing.

I'm 54 with blonde (not natural colour) hair.
It's tricky to get a shine in blonde hair but what helps me is using a hair mask.

Doesn't have to be a spendy one...Aussie, Pantene work well.

I shampoo then towel dry hair, apply mask, put hair up in a towel and then relax and read my book for 30/40 minutes.

For me, the length of time the mask is in for makes a big difference.
