Yay = minimalist gorpcore perfection
Nay = they’ll slice your toes off, there is a reason teva sandals straps are wide

I'm a no, because there are lots of nicer hiking sandals out there, these look like they would be uncomfortable which defeats the point of wearing comfy flat sandals, no?

Straps are the least of your worries, mine had to go in the bin as they make your feet fart when it's warm and you wear them. Most embarrassing sandals I ever owned !

There’s Tevas on tkmaxx online atm in case anyone is interested (colours a bit zanier)

Well they arrived very quickly!

I’ve been wearing them around the house and I’m very happy with colour style and comfort.

Enjoy your new Tevas OP……

Those straps would be far too narrow for me, having been used to wearing a pair of heavier wider leather straps Teva walking sandals bought in the early 1990’s, I still have them.
Anyways, I’ve purchased these Tevas (see photo) just for every day pottering about not for hiking. Had to search for ages online to find any in a Navy Blue colour way.

At the moment I’m moving away from Birkenstocks, which I love and have worn most days for many, many years but I was starting to develop bunions because of the rigid footbed, (I Googled the symptoms & causes of bunions), whereas Tevas are more flexible and allow the whole foot & toes to move naturally.
Fortunately because I stopped wearing my ‘Birks’ at the end of last summer my feet have returned to normal.

Wearing outdoor clothes in your every day life when you are not hiking Kilimanjaro. Fleece jackets, hiking-esque boots, Patagonia gilets, etc.

🤣… That’s me then.
I do walk my dog 2-3 times a day in all weathers & I don’t necessarily change my clothes when I need to pop to the shops or visit friends.
Am I forgiven….😂

I haven't seen be slim ones but am wedded to plain black Universals in the summer. They're probably five years old and have worn well. I also used to have the tan leather Universal Slides, which we're unbelievably comfy, but I don't know of they still do those.

I'd like some of the Hurricane style for this summer - I love my Universals and they're comfy, but they're not the best walking sandals I've ever owned (bit too slippy in water).
