Why is Brora so expensive?

And is it worth it?

Got something on sale supposed to be £200 something down to £90 something

I like it, don’t love it but I can get lots of wears out of it

It says 100% merino wool but made in China

Undecided if I should return or keep?

Why is Brora so expensive?

I think part of the reason it’s expensive is that they allude to a lot of it being manufactured in UK, ethical, responsible, natural fibres etc. I bought a couple of their striped cotton T-shirts last year, and they are now made in China too. Not worth the money.

Cashmere items are manufactured in UK, and I have found those to be good quality. I have a couple of pieces of wool knitwear, and they were made in Eastern Europe.

Yes the one above was made in China abd looks / feel cheaper than the price

I think you need to ask the moths.

I'm not sure.
I've been buying the lace edged thermals for years. This year's are tiny - I'm a 14 - bought the size 16-18 & they're skintight.
Plus the lace is equivalent to M&S knicker lace. I have some that are 12 years old with velvet ribbon & really excellent quality lace that have lasted forever. These current ones will not, although apparently they're made in the UK. £55 for a camisole is not cheap.
It's totally put me off buying anything further. Although my cashmere gloves from there are excellent quality but again years old.

To be fair I have a few of the biker Cardigan you’ve picked, they work perfectly as a light jacket (or for layering under coats etc). A couple of mine are 5+ years old and still going strong so I’m more than happy on a cost per wear basis. I got a couple towards the end of last year in the sale in brighter colours (previously had black and grey) and haven’t noticed a significant decline in quality between those and my much older ones.

if you have to ask, send it back

I've got a cashmere cardi from Brora and it's by far the nicest cashmere cardi I own (I also have M&S and Boden). Beautiful quality and details.

Some of their cashmere is very nice but it’s become even more expensive than it used to be.

Love Brora - they do things like line their garments which a lot of other places don’t. Cashmere cardigans seem to come up small though. Bought a lovely velvet cardigan in sale in January which is made of Viscose (not Polyester) & is lined.
