Any good wrinkle creams out there or have I left it too late?

Hi
I have noticed that my wrinkles (mainly forehead and crows feet) have been much more noticeable lately.
Are there any creams/lotions out there that will help with this or have I left it too late?
Don't have a massive budget so tears of a unicorn for a million pound won't be possible however could go to £50 for the right stuff!
Thanks for any help!

Organic Rosehip oil nightly

Sususudio · 13/02/2024 09:53

I am an evangelist for prescription Tret which is the only thing that is clinically proven to work for forehead wrinkles. I am 52 and have a pretty smooth forehead. NOT the OTC retinol which does nothing.

I get mine from overseas for very cheap- total skin care budget a year less than £15-, but you can get it from Dermatica and Skin and Me in the UK. Do a search and you can find many threads on this.

As above, don't waste your money on anti ageing creams from the shops, prescription tretinoin and SPF are the best investment you can make if you want results.

Sususudio · 13/02/2024 10:16

Yes, you have to wear SPF and go very slow and careful. It is a long game, not instant results.

TheOGCCL · 13/02/2024 10:24

Agree totally with @botemp and @Sususudio.

GettingStuffed · 13/02/2024 10:27

I agree about tret my forehead is practically wrinkle free after about 8 months

Thank you for your replies.

Can anyone post a link to the prescription tret please?

If the prescription stuff is too strong, I'm using this otc eye cream and would recommend it:

Beauty of Joseon retinal eye cream

NiceUnusualDifferent · 13/02/2024 14:20

Spf daily before you try anything else.
Once you've got that sorted then retinol/tret but only if you are consistently using an spf, a moisturiser with spf won't cut it.

I tried to get it abroad but it looks dodgy as they ask for the money in strange ways.

What site do you use please?

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 13/02/2024 14:28

You can buy Tret from Pharmacy Andorra or Tretinoin World (the woman who runs that is, I think, in Jersey and regularly posts on Nadine Baggott's FB page. I've bought Tret from TW before)

Agree with all the above, a retinoid is the only thing that's going to do anything to your wrinkles. It's not going to take ten years off. It's going to make you look bloody great for your age.

I use farmacia Andorra, and have been fine. Had a delivery just last month. If you’ve not used before, start lowest strength tube and work up. I use Retirides brand of tret. The tubes are cheap, but postage more, so I tend to buy a few in bulk to make postage worthwhile

retirides-0.25mg-tretinoina

Tratamiento del acné Tratamiento reductor de los signos del fotoenvejecimiento (envejecimiento prematuro de la piel, con aparicion de arrugas , manchas y /o rugosidad facial debido a prolongadas exposiciones al sol)

Thank you so much.

I've used Tret before from Dermatica but it was minuscule tube and was no way enough for a month. So I stopped using it as I couldn't find a site abroad that I could trust. Thrilled now!

takert · 13/02/2024 14:50

Is it just credit card payments? None of that bank transfer request I hope!

takert · 13/02/2024 14:52

So can you buy from pharmacies in Spain? I could get someone to post it to me.

takert · 13/02/2024 15:16

It says all medicines have been removed from the site as of 10/1/2024 due to some regulations.

Stygimoloch · 13/02/2024 15:26

I’ve been looking to buy some tret. I’ve never uses it before and there are loads of different products on Tretinoin World. Any advice on where I should start?

MissRheingold · 13/02/2024 15:44

I stopped using tretinoin and just use Vaseline over my usual skincare and it's more effective.

LateMumma · 13/02/2024 16:02

I've just ordered my first tret from TW, trustpilot reviews are great, although they did get the Pay link total wrong at first

takert · 13/02/2024 16:26

@MissRheingold I highly doubt that!

takert · 13/02/2024 16:28

@LateMumma Did you filter to verified only?

takert · 13/02/2024 16:30

@Stygimoloch start on the lowest dose. If it irritates your skin, do it every other day and put a bit of moisturiser in first.

takert · 13/02/2024 16:30

*on

LateMumma · 13/02/2024 17:19

@takert on the TW website? There's no option to on my phone?
