Let's talk about lashes

So, I have long but straight lashes. I have some success with lash curlers but I'd like a bit more impact for going out.

I've tried a lash lift and it really works but too expensive to do regularly.

I am thinking about trying some false lashes but have no idea where to start.

I want natural and not spiders legs.
I am also clumsy as hell so easy as possible is essential.

Please help with where to start!

Hearing the curlers helps.

On a radiator or in really hot water.

You can buy lash 'base coat', which is basically white mascara. If you stroke a bit of this on the tips of your lashes (or all over if you want to go mad) before mascara it makes your lashes look longer and thicker without using extra coats of mascara.

... which means using up less of your ££ mascara and less dark gunge to clean off your lashes.

You can get lash lift kits on Amazon. My teenager did them for me, wasn’t difficult. Looked really good

I always use Clarins Double Fix Mascara. I curl lashes then use a coat of the double fix which is clear. It keeps lashes curled all day. You can put mascara over the top if you want, but I don't bother. It can also be used on brows, and it also makes any mascara waterproof. I dye my lashes myself, so it looks like I have mascara on, but no smudges etc.

Thanks, I'll try heating my curlers although I refer back to the clumsy thing. 😄

It's definitely curling I need rather than length or thickness so none of the many mascaras I've tried make enough of a difference for me. I've tried cheap to super expensive with limited success.

Never tried this one so will give it a go. Thanks.

My lashes were very straight (and short) so I had to use a serum to lengthen them. I tried everything to curl them in a lasting way. Nothing worked apart from a pro lift. If you get a good one, it lasts 10 weeks. Definitely worth shopping around if you don't get as long out of it. A curling mascara helps to prolong the time you get but I never met a product that puts the curl in to dead straight lashes.
