To boob lift or not to boob lift

I'm 34 & all my life I've had saggy boobs. Not small either (36E) the fact they're saggy is somewhat genetics, most women in my family have the same. Yo-yo dieting & 2 kids hasn't helped me either.

I HATE taking my bra off during sex, if I'm on top I just feel like they're dangling above my partners head, like Spaniels ears.

I've been in touch with a local very reputable medical team & pricing for a lift is £6-7K. I would have to borrow this money & I already have some borrowing. I could afford the repayments, but I just wondered if anyone had experience of a lift, how the procedure went, how you felt afterwards, if there's any negatives in the long run etc? I don't want to rush in to anything as I'm also terrified of surgery & GA due to something that happened to me needing it as an emergency 6 months ago.

TIA x

i was nearly 60 when i had mine done as they were very pendulous.
for me it was the best thing i ever did (well nearly), the decreased size and firmness allowed me to not always wear a bra (summer can be very hot and muggy where i live), allowed me more freedom to exercise (and to exercise longer and more intensely), thereby leading to increased fitness and weight loss (lots more than the tissue itself), better fitting clothing, better sleep etc etc etc.
i found the surgery easy to recover from BUT at 60 i was retired and no children underfoot, and my husband was relatively helpful.
scarring: there is some, i could use a revision of sorts in the region under my arms. it's a really long big scar in my case almost armpit to armpit except for 2-4 inches between the two breasts, as well as scars around the nipple and down. but no one really sees it, certainly not visible in a bathing suit. sensation: my breasts were so pendulous that i had decreased nipple sensation prior to surgery and the surgery actually improved that somewhat.
i believe there's a thread somewhere with current and ongoing posters who are undergoing the process.

I had a bilateral reduction, best thing I did. Scarring is minimal and after 10 years can barely see it. If you're unhappy and they cause you issues go for it.

I had a reduction at 50, i now have breasts like a teenager. Before they just hung there, after menopause they got worse.

Exactly the same for me. My 60th birthday present. So glad to have firm, pert boobs. However, do not underestimate the procedure itself. Allow yourself a fortnight to recover and don't make plans. I stupidly thought I'd be fine after 4 or 5 days. Also scarring is significant, although after 4 years it has faded. Best £7k I've ever spent as it made me feel less "matronly" losing the droopy GG cups.
Flexi fit bras from M&S also a godsend after surgery. Lovely assistant suggested them and fitted me.

I had an uplift and love it. I went to Brussels to get it done - all fab. So much cheaper than the uk!

A lift will solve the sag but you will have lots of scars and possible loss of sensation. I have heard men say the scars are worse than sag. It's normal and expected for big breasts to sag. The lift won't give you perfect breasts, there is a risk or complications including death. The pros is that you will feel cooler in sticky summer weather and you might look slimmer if you don't add implants, they will look more youthful in a bikini.

Personally I think if your body is toned and slim, perky breasts will match the rest but having breasts of a 22, full of scars when the rest of body is significantly older looking just isn't worth it, as it gives patchwork.

Is the sex confidence thing with the father of your children? Because most men are ok if your body changed carrying their child. If you are single and wanting to increase confidence with new sexual partners I don't think risking leaving my childreb orphaned for future men who may still not like my scarred boobs is worth it. The children will be anxious about you while you're in surgery and recovery so I wouldn't personally want to put them through this.

I feel like I could understand a tummy tuck if it's stopping you swimming with your children or a thigh lift more than breasts surgery for sex confidence because I don't think trading sag for scars is better from a naked point of view. Also lifting them for cosmetic reasons and sex seems sadder than saggy boobs earned by living and having children.

Go for it OP! It’ll be the best thing you ever do.

Sometimes the waist appears wider and thicker with smaller breasts, body shape will also change. It doesn't always look better specially if you are overweight, big breasts at least give a feminine shape. If you carry extra weight with small breasts it sometimes looks like man boobs. There are numerous posts on women who are big but not curvy (small breasts, flat bottom) and they post about how their body is difficult to dress. So if you are over 25 bmi, lose the weight to 21 to 23 bmi then assess whether you want to go ahead because breasts usually shrink with weightloss and small breasts on a big body aren't visually great IMO, eg Lena Dunham (when she was big had perky little breasts) vs Kelly Brooke now with the weight gain, still having big boobs adds shape and femininity to her body even though they will be saggy when the bra comes off.

I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction - so slightly different as it was life-saving surgery - but the result is somewhat similar I imagine.
I have complete loss of nerves (and therefore any sensation) in both breasts, and some pretty vast scarring.
It’s absolutely fine, the scarring is fading and I don’t mind not being able to feel anything on my skin.
But you should be aware it’s not just a few wee snips.
