About to run out of this, my favourite moisturiser, and trying to cut back financially.

I’m 54 with combination skin.

I have a real mix of bargain and high end skincare and make up products so happy to try anything.

It's your cash & your choice op but there's no way I would be paying £57 for a 30 ml fancy jar of cream. You rarely get any visible results from the cream as it doesn't penetrate beneath the surface of the skin.
If you want real results try a high dosage collagen drink - my skin is the best it's ever been from collagen supplements.

Apart from the collagen good old cerave is what I use am & pm & my skin is glowing Smile

Would you mind telling what collagen drink you use?

Have you tried the Superdrug one? It's really good,I've just started using it and it's great, lovely texture.

I'll give it a go. I really rate Superdrug and I love a balm. I'm on a no spend till I've finished my stash 😁
Currently using a CeraVe, a Superdrug Pure, a Boots N7 a Body Shop vitamin E and a Superdrug vitamin E. 😳

HesterFields · 09/02/2024 08:18

I use everything Elemis apart from the moisturiser, which I didn’t rate for the money. I use the Aldi caviar one which I really rate.

What is a good dupe for Elemis Marine Cream? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/4793913-what-is-a-good-dupe-for-elemis-marine-cream

Had the same problem, never did find one, it's the TSV on QVC this weekend I believe if that helps (still not cheap).

£4.99 at the moment so that isn't really spending,is it? 😉 It's in a light blue tub.

Sunday will have the Elemis TSV and some offers through the day .

<Disclaimer> I don't work for them (QVC or Elemis)

Marine cream is a common freebie in 1st class cabins. So there're plenty of 15ml tubes on ebay. £30 for 3x 15ml seems good at a quick glance.

I spent quite some time trying various expensive creams on just one half of my face for several weeks to see whether they actually made a difference. Marine cream was one of the few that actually did.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 11/02/2024 13:12

Oh I bet there's loads on Vinted for to have a look!

Stop with the recommending Vinted. It's all for me !! 😂 (I've had some excellent bargains of Elemis from there and I don't care you all think it's far too expensive, it changed my skin totally)

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/02/2024 14:32

I'm far too invested in this thread 🙄

So, after really liking the Superdrug cleansing balm and by all accounts it's the same as the Elemis one ,I figured the moisturiser in the same range might be similar.

In the name of research, I trotted down to Superdrug and bought the Age Define night cream with collagen and peptides and I'm really impressed, it feels beautiful. Will try it tonight and repost back. No idea it's like the Elemis one but this feels much nicer that normal bog standard moisturisers .

Gwlondon · 13/02/2024 15:06

I think I know that one. The pot is blue. Nivea that had the blue bit on white packaging is fine. It’s a tube rather than a pot.

The pot is light purple .

Paddingtonthebear · 13/02/2024 19:11

I thought Revolution Miracle Cream was pretty decent for a tenner. Using This from Nini at the moment as it was gifted. Very nice indeed and no nasties but obvs at the Elemis end of the price range!

Sorry! I don’t know that one then. Nivea might not be suitable

MrsPelligrinoPetricor
What news of the Superdrug moisturiser??

I too bought the B cleansing balm and am impressed. It's better than the Elemis balm as you can use it to remove eye make up (Elemis one makes my eyes sting and I'm pretty sure it's not for eye makeup)

Only down side is it doesn't have the beautiful scent of the Elemis.

My Elemis moisturiser is very nearly finished....

Artemis6 · 16/02/2024 11:45

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor
See above!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 16/02/2024 12:28

Oh I'm glad you like the balm, I'm really liking it still and doesn't irritate my eyes at all either.

I have SUPER sensitive skin and the cream I bought was an anti aging one and ever so slightly stingy but I have to be SO careful I think it would be lovely for a normal person.

I actually meant to get the super hydration one for menopausal skin but got the anti aging instead 🙄 I'm going to get it next time I'm in town as I think that will be ok and I'll use the anti aging one over my chest and neck as it isn't as sensitive as my face.

I'll update again when I get it.😊

Artemis6 · 16/02/2024 14:11

Super hydration for menopausal skin sounds perfect 😂

Will aim to go to Superdrug next week.

Deathraystare · 22/02/2024 11:32

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

Oh Mrs P you have gone and done it now!

I have a number of pots of cream on the go including the Revolution dupe for Charlotte 'Darling' Tilbury which is lovely, and today I brought a cream into work for our beauty box (for the women patients). Wicked me just found out it is the one you mention from Superdrug so I took it out again!

Don't worry there will be plenty of others I can put in the box!!!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/02/2024 15:54

Ha ha🤣 I haven't bought the Superdrug menopause one yet as haven't been shopping BUT the new range of Aveeno Calm and Restore is lovely ( going a new, sealed one on Vinted for £3!)
