Eveningwear for a 13 year old girl

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!
Where on earth can I find glam evening dress for a 13 year old girl. Not too sexy but young and modern without losing the glam factor. DD is 5 foot 4 and size 8 with a fair skin and blonde hair. She sings and needs an outfit for "caberet" type performances. Any ideas very greatfully received.

BHS often do 'teen' bridesmaid dresses good for this sort of thing

will be back in a min (hopefully)

farkoffyoufarkers · 21/03/2008 21:46

Do you want full length?

Some of these Lipsy ones look great, but are they too risque?

glinda · 21/03/2008 21:46

It is really tricky because she wants to wear much more sexy clothes than I am willing to allow. Sadly, she looks about 15/16 with curves in all the right places if you know what I mean and she wants to make the most of them. It is such a tricky age.

How about this sexy without being overly revealing - maybe with some cool high Mary Janes?

farkoffyoufarkers · 21/03/2008 21:49

Sparkly and glitzy but not slutty!

glinda · 21/03/2008 21:49

She would love the black halter neck but she is 13 ffs!!!! Am I being too protective?

OOh Black sequined dress might work!!!! A colour might work better than blak though. She looks especially good in blues.

No, god I don't envy you

How about that last one - I don't think it's too exposing?

glinda · 21/03/2008 21:54

Oh are you Little lapin? I am easily confused by name changes!

farkoffyoufarkers · 21/03/2008 21:55

Yes, sorry, there's a raft of lapin imposters on another thread

How about this, gorgeous colour

glinda · 21/03/2008 21:58

Gorgeous!!!! But dd has developed an allergy to Monsoon since realising that it is my fave shop! What self respecting teenager would buy clothes from the same shop as her mum?

Cut the label out

farkoffyoufarkers · 21/03/2008 22:06

Blue and sequinned AND from a cool shop!

ScaryHairy · 21/03/2008 22:06

Oh, that's a shame. Was just looking through Monsoon's dresses. I got my first non-homemade black tie dress from there when I was 17.

farkoffyoufarkers · 21/03/2008 22:06

ooh

MMMMM!!!! Fabtastic! Well done FOYF! Those last two look brilliant.

Now for a real challenge. Are there any full length dresses out there for a 13 year old? Again lots of sparkle and style but not too much boob on display>

MMJ
She isn't a cabaret singer but she has a fab voice. She sings in competitions. Musical theatre sections are fine because she dresses in character - grease, hairspray, fame.chorus line - all easy peasy. The straight vocalist sections are more tricky. She sings big power ballads (difficult choosing age appropriate songs too)and needs a glam look.

Oh god . I want to wear them. Give them to me.
