Tips to give me volume at the roots

I have poker straight, fairly fine, hair. At the moment, even just after washing and drying, it looks like I've had a hat on/been caught in the rain. What can I do to lift it a bit? If velcro or heated rollers, what was is best to put them in. Any advice appreciated. I need a lift, literally!!

I have fine, straight hair - but lots of it. The only thing that gives lasting volume for me is using a micro crimper at the roots. If you like your hair to have a bit of 'grip', try TiGi Bedhead Queen for a Day spray, too.

I have long fine straight hair. I use about a golf ball size amount of good old fashioned volumising hair mousse.
I rub it in my palms, turn head upside down and apply to roots. I dry my hair mostly upside down to help with the 'lift' then if it looks too fluffy i just straighten the lower lengths.

Same as PP, volumizing mousse. Doesn’t need to be expensive, I’m using got2be volumaniac at the moment

My dd told me to spray with dry shampoo straight after hairdrying but before using straighteners or curling things.
Haven't tried it yet...

Wash it twice with baby shampoo

Add mousse.

Dry hair upside down

this. My hair was so flat, but using dry shampoo ( I use after it's been washed and blow dried) i use mainly on my fringe as always have hair up in a pony. it has given it volume, but it does look dry, but still better than limp, flat hair

Thank you all. Yes I always dry my hair upside down, but with zero technique. I'll try some of these. I have uses mousse before and it gives an overall plump up but not sure about at the roots! I thought maybe rollers of some sort might also help. I need a major cut and colour at the moment also.
