Spoo & Cond for keratin straightened hair?

Just as the title says. I am soon to have Brazilian keratin straightening for the first time after desperately wanting to for years!
I'm told I need to use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner afterwards to avoid stripping it out but every bottle I looked at in the shop had sulfates in!
If anyone has the keratin straightening, any suggestions of what sulfate-free products to use?
If it's useful to know, my hair gets lanky on the scalp (menopause night sweats) so I wash it every morning. Hair is long so tends to get knotty and needs a conditioner.

Have you asked the salon that's doing it what they'd recommend or if they stock the shampoo and conditioner you need? I've looked at this before but never known anyone have it done, let us know how it goes please x

Definitely ask the salon. I have this done, they recommend products to suit my hair and I get a discount buying from them.

I’ve been having this twice a year for a few years and it’s been life-changing!

Meant to say I get shampoo and a recovery mask (to use instead of conditioner) from the salon, and I use a comb to make sure the mask goes through the hair properly.

I did ask the salon when I booked the appointment and they showed me what they have, but of course it was quite pricey and they said if I wanted to spend less there would be others available in high street shops. Though when I went to look I couldn't find any without sulfates.
I may have to just suck up the extra cost for the sake of keeping the lovely straightened hair!

I suck it up as I figure I’ve spent a lot on my lovely straight hair and want to keep it that way! Lots of high street products claim to be natural or sulphate free or ok for keratin treated hair but that’s often untrue and I just don’t want to take the risk.

By the way make sure you check how long to wait before putting your hair up - you’ll ruin it if you do that too soon.
