Help Nivea q10 alternative

Hi everyone,

I've been using Nivea q10 night cream for over a decade. I think 2 years ago they changed the formula and it is nothing like the original. All the ingredients are completely different. Since the change I stocked up a ton but I am slowly running out.

I've been diagnosed with moderate rosacea and have sensitive skin.

I like a greasy moisturiser like the Nivea q10 and I have spent a fortune trying to find a replacement. But everything I try, seems to barely moisturise and creates a film on my face which then pills off!

I use in the morning and before I put my night cream on Eucercin ato control face cream which is great but not enough on its own at night.

Lidl and Aldi q10 creams are NOT remotely like Nivea q10. I've tried both and they are awful.

Does anyone know of something as nourishing and hydrating at Nivea q10 night cream?

Thank you! Xx

Have you tried the original blue pot Nivea or astral cream? I know it's difficult finding something your skin is happy with when you have sensitive skin. Both those creams do not sting when I use them.

I'd try astral if you like something thick. I find the smell a bit much but it has the old cream texture I think Q10 had

I went from the Nivea Q10 to their cellular range and love it. The night cream is thick and rich

It's so hard finding something. I'm not keen on moisturisers which are paraffinum based like the Nivea blue pot and Astral. I feel like my skin is just greasy but tight underneath and it doesn't sink in or feel moisturised.

I've also tried Nivea cellular and to me it did not moisturise and leaves a film on my skin. I thought this range would work as it has similar ingredients but sadly not.

Thanks guys x

I get you. The balance between thick and sitting on top versus thick but sinking in is like the holy grail! Then it may get be worth trying m and s sleep formula ultimate? You could try the texture in store too and then you can discount it if it's not right

As pp says Weleda Skinfood is great, it does that sinking in thing

Pickypetal · 27/01/2024 09:25

I've tried the Weleda skin food and I had a massive reaction to it, took my skin days to recover.

I'll try out the m&s one thank you

The only moisturiser that works for my skin (very similar to yours) is Olay Pro vital day cream anti wrinkle

Ok thanks I'll check that out too, however I do find the olay ones usually pill a lot.
