..what would you do?
I’ve handed my notice in and will be starting a new role in 12/13 weeks. Ive been in current role 11 years. Exclusively work from home. Had three babies in that time, looking pretty different from when I started. Gained weight, bit of style funk, skin care down the priorities list.hair is ok, long and thick but been like this forever. I’m a bit knackered and a bit dull.

feeling a pep in my step re the change ahead, but will be going to an office (not in the UK) 3-4 times a year. All fine with that but the thought of face to face work interaction is making me want to present my best self from day 1.

What achievable things can I do consistently to feel more shiny and presentable and less like a tired mum. A 12 week glow up if you will… help! Supplements, lotions potions any other things polished looking ladies do- I’m here for it.

Also any work travel tips welcome

Could anyone recommend an eyelash serum, a number of people have mentioned one 🙏

Get into a good sleep routine
Walk more
Proper exercise min 3x per week
Less refined carbs
More protein, veg, fermented foods and healthy fats (nuts/ avo etc)
Use Cuticle oil and cuticle trimmers weekly
Start painting your nails on a Sunday eve and use Seche vite top coat
Get a hair cut and start using good quality shampoo (pureology and their leave in spray is excellent)
Invest in a good hair drying/ styling tool if needed
Get into a good simple skin care routine
Botox
If you don't already start flossing daily and use a tongue scraper and an electric toothbrush

I use the Ordinary lash and brow serum. It's £15 and has honestly worked wonders on my weedy lashes, but it has got an awkward spiky brush.
I've bought the No.7 one to try but the Ordinary one is lasting forever.

I'd get a personal stylist. Absolute game changer and not as expensive as you think.

If you're starting a new skincare routine, introduce new products slowly. You don't want to start the new job with the mother of all breakouts. La Roche Posay do a retinol that hasn't upset my sensitive skin, I'd look at skin cycling so you're going exfoliating one day, retinol the next then letting skin recover with creams etc the next two days while you get used to the new routine or exfoliating and retinol. And make sure you're using suncream with retinol products.

@countdowntonap that's a lot of protein! How do you get that much protein in your diet? Lots of meat? Protein shakes?
