Botox

Where have you had botox?

Me:
Forehead horizontal lines
Between eyebrows for frown
Jaw muscle as its too large on one side
Neck for platysma bands

I enquired with my dermatologist about filler today and she has suggested lower face botox first. That is £295, plus neck £225 and downturn of mouth \£85.

I know the practitioner makes all the difference, I could get cheaper elsewhere, but she has an amazing touch.

At this stage though, after a year or two, I'm going to be in facelift price territory. Literally thousands per year......

Where do you think it the best and most noticeable place for your botox?

I've never had Botox but the only place I would consider is if I had deep frown lines between my eyebrows.

I’m 43 and I have had Botox to;

  • lift my eyebrows - this is BY FAR the best thing. It make such a difference - helps with eye bags, makes eyebrows look better, makes me look more alert and evened out any slight asymmetry
  • Do my 11 in the middle of my forehead - which wasn’t massively deep but it just stops that angry/frown look and makes me feel more serene!
  • my massiters to stop me from clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth. That’s also been great! And hopefully will stop me wearing my teeth out!!

I pay around £150-180 for this to a qualified dentist with a long track record of delivering a good service. I really like her and she looks great herself so I trust her judgment!

I haven’t bothered with it to smooth my forehead in general as it isn’t that crinkled and it is also such a Botox give away! Maybe I will reconsider when it looks too crinkly!

@HappyDaze23 £150-180 per area, or all of those for £150-180??

That's cheap. For all of those, I'd be looking about £900

£900?! That's insane!

I pay £350 for 3 areas - forehead, frown '11s' and laughter lines around eyes. Every 6-9 months.

I also have a tiny amount of lip filler once a year.

I have a brow lift/ horizontal forehead lines
Frown lines
Crows feet
Masseter (had it once wouldnt bother again)
Lip flip

I also have filler. I have a "facelift" using filler so I basically have 5mls spread round my face so cheeks, naso labial lines, marionettes.... I had it just over a year ago and I'm going back in a few weeks to have it done again. This time I'm going to have a bit in my chin too.

I have Botox on forehead, 11s and around the side of eyes

Love it!

Kimio · 25/01/2024 19:31

My 11s. I tried it once and found that it also cured what I thought were sinus headaches that I had experienced since being a teenager and so have continued ever since. I pay £200 to a doctor qualified in aesthetics.

Graasspp · 25/01/2024 19:42

One area (i.e. average frown lines or forehead or crows feet) £245
Two areas £335
Three areas £435
Neck/Platysmal Bands £225
Botox ‘Lower Face Lift’ using Botox to relax and lift the lower face £295
Masseter muscle (for overactive jaw clenching) £385
Each additional small area: (such as lower eyelids, extra strong frown lines, ‘bunny lines’, eyebrow lift,
lines around mouth, chin, downturn of mouth) £85

Here is prices I pay..... is it v expensive?
