Boots for the fatter of calf

Any suggestions as to where I can buy knee length boots that will fit my chunky calfs? I've tried the usual places - M&S, Clark's, JL, Schuh and I'm starting get a complex! I'm around a 14/16 so on the curvier side. Alternatively, will the cobblers be able to stretch this sort of boot (with a zip to do up?)
TIA

Duo boots sell all of their boots in a range of foot and calf sizes. They are expensive but it's great to actually be able to do up boots.

I'm the same as you and what works for me are boots with an elastic panel. Last ones I got were from Dune.
I think these might be similar www.dunelondon.com/tildy-buckle-detail-knee-high-boots-black-0089508510010484.html

I find it astounding that knee high boots are still so narrow, I discovered duo boots over 20 years ago, and yet they are still an anomaly on the highstreet (virtual highstreet)

The average woman is a size 16 I thought, so people arent going to have skinny calves at all

Simply Be or Yours do wide fitting boots - mostly not top quality leather though, albeit very comfy. Sometimes supermarkets can come up trumps too, and New Look does wide fittings, as do Next.

Sargasso and Grey are gorgeous quality, I've got pairs in navy and brown. Also look at Bareback footwear - really good quality outdoor stuff and lasts well.

Just be wary of Duo - they've gone under several times (they went from Duo to Ted and Muffy and are now back as Duo again). Read their Trustpilot reviews under both names before ordering and if you do, use a credit card. I learned the hard way as they went under again just into lockdown and I got lumped with 2 shoddy pairs of boots that I couldn't send back.

You have my sympathies. My feet are small (size 3.5) but wide, and my calves are wide too. It’s not a combo that works at all for knee high boots, and I couldn’t get anything decent to fit me even when I was about 8 stone.

I even have trouble with ankle boots, huge ankles for some reason and around a size 4 or 5

My experience with Duo is that the calves may have been made wide enough, but they didn't seem to flex the ankles accordingly. I sent a few pairs back over the years, then gave up.

I’m exactly the same. I buy lace up ankle boots, as I can control how loose they are round the ankle.
