...is what I'm looking for - maybe with some spice/oriental, maybe some vanilla. No heavy florals if possible - jasmine gives me a bad headache. Happy to pay through the nose for the right one. I tried Byredo's 'Tobacco Mandarin' today which was nearly there but a bit to fruity. Can anyone recommend anything? Thank-you!

Xerjoff Naxos is beautiful. I’ve never had a tobacco scent until this one and I love it.

Rome 1963 by 4160 Tuesdays is a lovely sweet tobacco scent but may be a bit heavy on the white flowers for you? Worth a try though if you like Tobacco Vanille, and much less spendy than Tom Ford.

Tobacco Rose by Papillon is beautiful too. Very delicate tobacco note.

I would recommend Jasmin et Cigarette by ELDO except that it's got a lot of...jasmin in it!

Bois d'ascese by Naomi Goodsir or City on Fire by Imaginary Authors are both VERY smokey (not for the fainthearted!)

I also love Alaia Paris as a really chic, dry, cool, woody scent although it's not got the tobacco note.

You might also want to try L'air du desert Marocain, or Au coeur de desert, both by Andy Tauer and both masterpieces of the perfumer's art (imho). Smoke, dry spices, leather, incense, amber, somehow both austere and luxurious at the same time. So no specific tobacco notes but really just gorgeous perfumes in the smokey vein.

Hello! Remembered that I'd started this thread at the beginning of the year. I came back with the good news that, after months of testing, I found my dream tobacco-vanilla perfume which...doesn't have any tobacco in it, but it does have woods and patchouli, so...? It's 'Amber Kiso' by DS & Durga and it is the most delicious smoky woody amber drydown that starts with quite a hard leathery kick.

Runner-ups were: 'Chinese Tobacco' by 19-69, 'Hinoki & Cedarwood' by Jo Malone, and 'Hwyl' by Aesop. Looking at these, I think I'd wanted 'smoky woods/incense' rather than just tobacco, but useful to explore.
