Cap Sleeve T Shirts - Why the Hate?

I am now looking to sort out my summer basics for a body that seems to have gone softer and rounder overnight, despite healthy lifestyle. I get the wear what you like attitude but also know that it’s easy to get stuck in your style and look dated.

Anyway, cap sleeve t shirts seem to be frowned upon on several then and now Insta posts. I was never attached to them myself but why, what is wrong with them?

If I am to invest £8 in a t-shirt, I really do not want to cock it up. 🤣

Longer short sleeves also make me look frumpy. Cap sleeves are more flattering. Wear what is flattering

If you have slim arms, it's obvious in all cuts of t-shirt that you have slim arms. It's also obvious with long sleeved and sleeveless tops that you have slim arms. It's also obvious if you're generally slim and small busted or if you're generally slim and large busted, high breasted, low breasted....)

If you have fat arms, it's obvious in all cuts of t-shirt that you have fat arms. It's also obvious with long sleeved and sleeveless tops that you have fat arms. It's also obvious if you're generally large and large busted (or if you're generally large and small busted, high breasted, low breasted....)

Wear what you want, not what you think you should wear. None of it makes fatness or skinniness disappear, whatever might be claimed. People can still see you whether the skin is uncovered or not.

Do you like them and find them comfortable?

I don't like them and so don't buy them. I find that they're an uncomfortable and unneeded middle ground between a sleeveless top and a short sleeved one. I found them too tight around my shoulder. Having said that, I haven't worn women's tshirts for years, since I find them generally too tight around the shoulders and with too high/small an armscythe, so maybe it's a common cut issue and not a cap sleeve issue alone.

I don't really like sleevless or cap sleeve tops because I like some material around my armpit but they also make my flabby arms look massive. My fav sleeve length is 3/4 as I have long arms and slim wrists.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with them. Just wear whatever a) feels comfortable and b) looks good when you look in the mirror.

I used to like them but avoid them now because
a) they make my upper arms look flabby even though my arms are actually pretty skinny
b) my old ones were often cut a bit tight under the armpit
c) if I've shaved my armpits I'll wear a sleeveless top. If I haven't I want a short sleeve that will cover my stubbly pits!

If you like them, go for it though. It's just personal preference.
