Red/Blue Light therapy for acne - face and shoulders?

Hi,

Has anyone used any home light devices to treat acne prone skin? I am looking at this for my DD who has mild/moderate hormonal acne on her face and now on her shoulders/upper back. She has used Duac and Amelia’s acid creams from the GP but I wondered if light therapy might be beneficial to try? She’s 15.

If possible, it would be good if it could treat my wrinkles too 😄!

I don’t want to spend too much without knowing it will work but also, I want something that is medically approved.

Thanks in advance.

I bought the Sanitas LED mask from Aldi for about £40.

I can't say I've noticed much difference to my wrinkles using the red light, but the blue light was brilliant when used on my son's bacne, it cleared noticeably within a few days.

She needs to be prescribed Lymecycline

This got rid of my DD acne in 3 months and was getting worse and worse

Only medication could help not lotions and potions or home light devices

You need medication

Your GP is a bit behind the times if he's only prescribing creams he clearly has no clue about hormones etc

Thanks all. We haven’t been back to the GP so to be fair it’s me that’s behind the times (I was given some pretty powerful stuff all those years ago, which I was hoping to avoid for a bit longer).

I’ll take a look at all the options, thanks again.
