Can anyone share their Vinted strategies?

I have started to dip my toe into the waters of Vinted - I have piles of clothes that are BNWT, brand new or worn once from high street brands (LK Bennett, Hobbs etc). I am trying to get an idea of how people approach the price they put on their items - a few items I have clearly underpriced (eg Boden stuff has gone within seconds). Should I be putting a highish price to start with and then reduce the price regularly until things sell? Any insight into how to maximise sale price but also make sure stuff shifts and more general guidance on 'strategy' would be gratefully received 😀

I have no objection to seeing an item being worn. Sometimes it helps as it's not always clear what something looks like on. I also want to see it's clean and in good condition in other photos though.

If you sell footwear, show the soles if you're claiming little wear and, if you can, the insides. I one got stung on a pair of shoes with very good soles, only worn indoors and the seller decided they didn't fit her properly. The insides had clearly had heel grips used and removed and there was wear from someone having forced a too large foot in or something which I wasn't expecting. I didn't leave feedback.

I always take a photo of the size label as vinted sizing is odd.

If selling shoes photograph the soles to give an indication of wear.

I buy lots from Vinted - these tips
are great, I wish every seller would follow them! Having to ask for size details, photos of soles, fabric composition labels etc is a pain. But I’ve bought lots of good clothes for me and DC, and 95% of sellers are super nice and helpful 😊

@InterrudelyUpted , rear view of clothes and photos of soles are a must for me. I don't mind giving measurements, but I might get it wrong.
People who ask for measurements IME rarely buy.

Had a bad experience recently with a buyer who hadn't read the description and it has almost completely put me off selling.

Really? I have bought some items because the pic shows them being worn and I like how they look :) but if not modelled by a person, I really like to see it on a mannekin rather than just lying on a bed where tops and dresses in particular can look shapeless.

Sadly people usually expect rock bottom prices on Vinted. Ebay I think is better for quality items/good brands.
That said, I sold a vintage child's pedal car on Vinted for over £40 and got a really good price for some vintage paintings in lovely frames. (I have one left because after I had sold two, Vinted decided I was selling forgeries and refused to let me list more - even though they were all different artists and themes).
As others have said, if it's something a bit unusual, you can sometimes get a decent price but not on general clothes such as t-shirts or trousers etc.
I don't bother listing those because it's so much hassle for very little reward.

I sell quite a lot and my best sellers are definitely Toast, COS and Arket & also more niche labels like Stella Nova. I've sold quite a lot of DDs things too but at a much lower price. I've had a couple of Zara pieces sell quite quickly but they were nice and had quite recently been in store. All my Whistles bits are still on there and some bits like a lovely, hardly worn Sandro leather biker jacket have had very little interest.

I always price higher than I want because people always make offers. I do send things clean but I'm crap at photos, but it really does depend on what I'm selling. A few Toast things I put up recently sold within the hour.
