Am I the only person in the world who hates Jo Malone stuff?

A friend bought me one of her perfumes. Gratefully received but in all honesty vile.

Another friend bought me a candle. Hideous, My house smelled like someone had smoked bad weed and then tried to cover it up with cheap air freshener.

I thought there must be something wrong with me. people go nuts about her stuff and are willing to pay through the nose for it.

Then I was at duty free last week and they had testers of all her scents - every single one was deeply unpleasant. I am NOT mad. They were gross.

Am i the only one? Really?

yep! Which one did you get bought? If bite your hand off if you fancied flogging it on? I adore JM stuff and have a shortage grr

Have to admit the candles aren't great

I really really would like the chance to hate it! Couldn't we just roll up 20 pound notes and burn them? I quite like the smell of burning paper.

I don't like it either

I started an anti Jo Malone thread a while ago after being almost as sickened by the dire marketing as by the overpowering and saccharine products. Wearing two perfumes is a 'philosophy' apparently. Probably not one Plato would recognise.

I've only got one, dh bought it for me and I find it overwhelming and sickly Can't tell him though, he was so proud of himself for getting something so classy
