Good quality plus size swimwear

Hi

I'm looking for flattering swimwear that will withstand actual swimming .
some I’ve seen seem to be more fashion for lying on the beach.

budget up to about £70.

Am a size 20. Quite like a Tankini top and swim shorts .

Ive seen loose shorts but not sure they are suitable for swimming.

Have you looked at Yours?

I've had them from there and had no problems even when I was swimming every day.

Matalan does not do good swimwear. Especially at 18 quid.

I wear all-in-one swimsuits with shorts-style legs and I love them.
No need to worry about my bikni line etc!

I prefer all-in-ones to tankinis with shorts, but I come across more of them than al-in-ones when shopping, I'll have a think about where I've seen them.

I also love the look of the Seafancy ones! (But don't trust the company).

A search term that may help you find swimmers with shorts is "boy leg" swimming costume.

The OP ONLY wants a loose fitting style

I'm not sure that's right? She says she wants a flattering style, and she'd like shorts, but she's not sure about the looser ones.

Flattering doesn't necessarily mean loose, does it?

I suggested a flattering swimsuit OR A boy leg leg suit but she wants a loose tankini with a loose short

I personally tbh think these are too er flappy for swimming and thing everything will be on show!

loose fitting swimwear will not “withstand actual swimming”, is is for fannying about the place.

I can’t attest to the quality and as I say tankini’s tend to be bothersome for proper swimming but it’s pretty and loose.

She wants a loose fit short and tankini top that doesn't cover her cleavage as that her best feature.

It’s a tall order, loose fit board like shorts are few and far between, they aren’t that flattering or functional. And most want their boobs in securely if swimming properly.

Meet curve U.K. might be worth a look OP, again can’t attest to quality.

If any use, I wear next, monsoon, Seaspray for beach hols, but they aren’t that great for anything beyond a quick posturing breast stroke.

Decathlon and Speedo I wear for actual swimming.

Thanks. I’m going to order the shorts and just looking at tankinis . I am also happy to look at more fitting tops if ruched , especially if the shorts are a little looser.

At my pool most men swim in “ trunks “ rather than tight shorts, so should be ok swimming in them especially is top more fitted.

Thanks everyone as really helped me think through what to get . I have a swim dress at the moment but it’s very “ heavy “ and a pain to wash and dry and heavy when I take off after swimming .

Have fun swimming it amazing sport

I started last year for fitness. Started with 10 lengths. Now I try and do 40 Non stop 5 times a week. I do 4km last week I feel better mental and physical health.

There are women of all shapes size ages and so on at my pool and 98% of the time you are under water.

Most men who do laps wear jammers (tight knee legnth trunks) or a classic budgie smuggler but they are few and far between!!
