So please help me, tell me what I should wear, am a 14, with 36e bust, and am normally in jeans, I just never see anything I like, I want a mix of casual and smart/casual tops.

I have this dilemma too. I think that because I don't like my top half much (34E) I tend to avoid buying tops.

The most flattering tops I own are:

  • camisoles worn with little fitted cardis over
  • cotton (not T shirty) wrap tops, with low v necks, that I wear over camisoles
  • square necked loose-ish fitting T shirts from M & S in a range of colours

I like the idea of camisoles worn with cardis over, but am very fussy when it comes to cardigans, besides I cant get away with wearing a cardi all summer

I know what you mean btw, surely there is a way to lose weight on your boobs

How about the cardi's from Kew, in pointelle, which are fitted and v flattering. Come in all sorts of colours and are v pretty. Will try to do a link.

They've got lots similar to this which I wear with cami underneath. Some with more of a v-neck than others.

Also, but may sound like Trinny or Susannah here, are you wearing a really well-fitted bra?. A bit of lift and separate can make all the difference to how tops look.

nailpolish · 18/03/2008 12:17

do you like stuff like this? vertical lines can be ver flattering - i know, im a 30E

agree about getting a good bra - go to bravissimo - it will change your life (if you havent already)

v necks

and tops with a row of buttons down the middlein nice-softly-hanging material are flattering

IMO

This must be the 'e' cup thread! I am 32E and I like boatneck or slash neck tops- give you plenty of cover, without worrying about flashing cleavage everywhere. I work with children and young people frequently, and whilst I may be proud of my gorgeous cleavage, I don't want to show it off.

My favourite tops are from M&S and H&M.

Interesting you said wrap tops- these tend to flash too much cleavage for me, though do look very nice for evening...

Easiest way to find what you like is work out exactly which shapes/style fit you best.
Which T&S body shape are you? Maybe Apple given your bust? In which case look for open neck/v-neck tops which are not too clingy.
Good ideas here
