Is it possible to avoid indents on my nose from glasses ?

Just that really.
I have a super strong prescription and usually go for plastic without the nose piece as I've always thought they are lighter and leave less of an indentation on my nose.
I had to have chemotherapy cream on my nose for a possible skin cancer a couple of years ago and since then the skin is a bit red now and thinner there now. There always seems to be an indent from my glasses on the one side even when my glasses have been off .
I cover it with make up well but am still aware of it .
I've asked the staff at the opticians and they couldn't really advise so it maybe that nothing helps really.
Just wondered if anyone had managed to find a design that avoided this somewhat ?
Many thanks

You could try thicker plastic frames and thinning of the lenses as far as they can - a combination of lightening and spreading the weight of the lenses. Overall smaller lenses would also lighten the weight factor.
Are your glasses tight enough behind your ears? I find that if they slip down my nose they feel heavier as the only support point is effectively your nose and not two ears plus your nose iyswim.

my final suggestion is to put some very thin felt on the nose/bridge part that is in contact with your skin. It might just allow enough air flow to reduce friction and pressure. I am assuming contacts are not a way you want to go? Plus if you have varifocals/bifocals, then it might be lighter to have two separate pairs one for reading and one for distance, rather than combining them.

Yes, but I'm not sure about it if you don't have separate nose pads on the glasses.

Mine suddenly started to hurt last month and were leaving deep red marks, so popped into Specsavers and they replaced the hard plastic pads for soft silicone ones and adjusted the arm fit for me. Job done.

Perhaps your specs have become slightly off centred - find someone else to help you adjust the arms etc?

Or perhaps you could look at a new design of specs?

I have largish plastic frames, without the nose 'bits', which I am not a fan of. I don't have a mark on the nose as they fit really well on the ears, at the side of the head. Worth going and checking that the width of the frame, shape of the arms and nose bridge are the right size for you, as seems like something is off to be causing an issue.

This happens to me when my glasses become imperceptibly out of shape.
