She was wearing a perfect tweed jacket tonight on The One Show. You can see it in this tweet and I've attached a tiny screenshot. Does anyone recognise it or something similar?

That is nice as well. House of Bruar, while good quality, looks a little snug. What I really want is to find one in a charity shop for £30.

There are some great items on Vinted in this style. Some beautiful Harris Tweed coats/jackets etc, you just have to be eagle eyed and ready to snap them up when you see the size/budget that matches what your after. I'm delighted with some brand new Woolover jumpers I snapped up this winter for around £15/20 each - have made such good use of them already!

Love the green jumper with the 'feature' elbows, tartan skirt (I don't think it's an actual kilt but could be wrong) and DMs in episode 2. Whoever is styling her is doing a great job.

Personal taste is so interesting isn't it that what one person loves another hates!
I generally like her style on this show but thought that outfit was a total fail. The jumper was way too big, a dreadful colour and the boots looked like after-thought cutoff wellingtons. I honestly thought she looked liked she'd been put together in a jumble sale! Constrasting with her usual more sleek stylish look

I love the whole fingerless gloves trademark which is funny.

But either way she's not a patch on Alan Cummings in the US Traitors with his sort of glam-rock crossed with tartan and kilts affair!

Totally! The flip being I'm not so bowled over by the usual 'sleeker' look - but I'm a sucker for knitwear, chunky boots etc that I could see myself cosily walking to the pub in. I much more drawn to cold, dry Autumn/Winter clothes.

She loves an orange tan and a pale lip! Her “In the Bathroom” with Sali Hughes (on YouTube) is a lovely watch.

Oh I saw the Marian Keyes one, amazing! The pale lip is terrible (imho)

I've bought several Harris Tweed jackets in weigh n' pay sales for under £30. Admittedly this was a couple of years ago before tweed had its current fashion moment so they might be harder to get now, but worth a try.

Or if you've got the funds to buy new, somewhere like Walker Slater would still set you back less than that Kooples jacket. I'd really resent paying those kinds of prices for something that's only about 50% wool.

Malbecmoron · 05/01/2024 16:59

I have the skirt but in a slightly different colour way from a couple of years ago. It's lovely and cosy at this time of year.

If you find Claudia on Instagram she often tags her stylist and the different outfits. The stylist's account is a treasure trove.

Just read thread then this popped up on TikTok - has all her outfits realityfashionhunters Daffodil

MotherOfHouseplants · 06/01/2024 08:36

They aren’t visible in the publicity stills on IG but she had a bright yellow knit peeking out at the wrists of the green cable jumper with elbow motifs. I am not sure if they were wristwarmers or another layer underneath but the colour was fabulous. Any ideas?!

I think they're Brora wrist warmers, I went into the store the other day to have a look and they're £59 in the sale.. lovely colours though, hoping they do further reductions.

NotAClueZ · 06/01/2024 13:00

When did people start calling fingerless gloves wrist warmers???

MotherOfHouseplants · 06/01/2024 13:20

@covetingthepreciousthings thank you - did they have that bright daffodil yellow in store, did you notice? I've managed to get a screen grab. I have looked at both Brora and Johnstons of Elgin online as this is apparently where her stylist sources them but the closest I can find is a chartreuse in Brora, which is more green than I would like.

@NotAClueZ it is pedantic but there is a difference! Fingerless gloves have five little openings to cover the very base of your fingers and thumb. Wristwarmers have an opening for your four fingers and a separate opening for your thumb. The idea is that you can slip your thumb out and push the whole thing back on to your wrists if you need to uncover your hands for dexterity or if you just want to keep your wrists warm. These are fingerless gloves and these are wristwarmers.

@MotherOfHouseplants well I never did.

covetingthepreciousthings · 06/01/2024 17:40

@MotherOfHouseplants
I wonder if they might be Turtle Doves mustard wrist warmers? They seem to be sold out though..

I’m a massive fan of wrist warmers. They finish an outfit well.

I had a beautiful pair from Elgin and lost them on a Christmas night out.

I think Claudia’s style on Traitors is fabulous and I’m trying to mimic it, albeit on a budget.

Completely disagree. .
They look witchy and old woman-ish to me. The exceptions are the red leather and lace ones which look cheap and trashy. I can't bear them. They look generally like an old lady who would cup a mug of tea in both hands like its a heat source because she can't afford to put the heating on.

What a lovely contribution. 🫤

Stowickthevast · 14/01/2024 12:12

Thanks @covetingthepreciousthings sadly all out of stock. I'll have to wait till next winter.

I love wrist-warmers and have been wearing them for years as my hands are always freezing and I worked from home even in the pre-covid days. Sometimes you can get Johnson's of Elgin ones on eBay a bit cheaper. I've got Turtle Doves ones at the moment which aren't quite as good as they don't have a thumb hole but are cheaper than Brora etc.

That's weird, @Stowickthevast (love the name 😂) - my ones from Turtle Doves do have a thumb hole.
