Scalp clarifying shampoo

My scalp feels horrible Blush

Really grainy and gritty.

I don't use any products on the roots of my hair, just the ends, but something is obviously building up.

I have quite dry, frizzy hair so I use kind of creamy shampoos such as Aussie.

I suspect my scalp is just not getting cleaned Envy

Can anyone recommend a really good one? Is Head and Shoulders what I'm looking for, or something else?

I can't believe I've left it this long. I've recently seen adverts for scalp treatment places and I'm fantasising about getting it done but they all seem to be in London.

Try to avoid all silicones as they can build up in your hair and on your scalp.

Silicone scalp scrubbers are great, I use one when I wash and between washes for a massage.

Make sure to shampoo twice and rinse really well each time.

Another vote for silicone scalp brushes - they are excellent at massaging the scalp and cleaning it properly

I was very much a wtf when I got this in a beauty box but it works. Use it instead of shampoo. Once the salt has dissolved use it on the ends as a normal shampoo (assuming longer hair)

Pound shop bottle of Vosene. I use it once a month-ish instead of my normal shampoo. Very good clarifying shampoo.

I haven’t heard of this. I’m going to give it a try. Thank you.

Yes, I used to use the Aussie products and couldn't understand why they worked very well for a while but then my hair and scalp deteriorated. My hairdresser told me they contained silicones so I stopped using them and she used a cleansing shampoo to sort me out.

Head and shoulders derma x scalp treatment is excellent. Cleared my sore, dry flaky scalp out in a few washes, i now use it a couple of times a month as maintenance as my medication causes a dry scalp, this really keeps it healthy. Cheaper on amazon unless boots have it on offer. X
