Nice Nail that aren't down in a salon

I've had gel nails on and off to the last 15 years and I'm just getting fed up of them not lasting.

How can I achieve nice nails at home. Preferably natural but nice. I have stumpy hand and short nails

I have the Dior nail glow already! How can I shape them down the cuticles. How often etc

I push back my cuticles after moisturising them and clips any flappy bits with these. https://amzn.to/48DXJS2

I bought myself a Mylee gel lamp which came with a cuticle stick, cuticle oil etc. I couldn't tell you how often I do it - maybe averages once a month. I don't care if it lasts a week when I've done them myself (regrowth annoys me so I remove).

I second the Mylee gel lamp kit - takes half an hour to do my nails and on average last 2 weeks

I do my nails at home. Most of the time I just focus on having them natural and neat. So just a quick file, and I apply almond oil to the nails and cuticles.

If I want a coloured or patterned nail I use nail wraps from Oh my Gosh (the original ones not the ones you need a UV lamp for.) You literally just stick them on clean, dry nails, trim off the ends and file the edges then seal with a clear top coat. I do them last thing before bed as you need to not get them wet for a few hours but they easily last one to two weeks and just peel off when you want to remove them.
