What colour nails in Jan/Feb?

So I tend to go pastels in Spring/summer, vampy dark nails in autumn, and Christmas themed in December (the only time I don't have block colour!)

What are your go to colours for this time of year? I need some inspiration.

Wear whatever you want! I'd have something bright as this time of year is so drab.

tinselvestsparklepants · 31/12/2023 10:37

Neon!

Whatineed · 31/12/2023 10:37

Cappuccino is the colour I've chosen.

SaltyGod · 31/12/2023 10:39

I go fairly bright too, perhaps a coral red or pinky red. Fresher than autumn and something a bit cheerful

FestiveFruitloop · 31/12/2023 10:41

I'm on the lookout for an icy blue polish atm, Frozen-style.

JaceLancs · 31/12/2023 11:19

I will be going purple as I’ve just bought a new amethyst ring

testedorgan · 31/12/2023 15:17

I'm boring and just did mine in Essie's Ballet Slippers.

Sunnycats · 31/12/2023 15:50

I've had acrylics solidly for 6 months so planning a break and to also use ballet slippers and aim for neat short nails. My nails are likely to be horrible after they are soaked off 😬

I have CND shellac in Creekside which my DD says looks like Elsa would wear. They do it in vinlylux (non gel) as well.

I'm pretty much a nail polish free zone due to my job. But when I do use colour I'm usually a pale coral colour or a rose gold shimmer

QueenofHebdenBridge · 31/12/2023 15:56

I'm going for an icy look - a silver or white base polish with lots of sparkly glitter on top

AutumnBride · 31/12/2023 19:56

Mine are a dark emerald green.

CanImakethisbetter · 31/12/2023 20:12

I am going purple Matt next time I get mine done. Then will move a nude scheme until I feel like brighter colours.

I did the blueberry/ blackberry Milk nails in Jan feb last years

PlumpShady · 31/12/2023 20:17

Going to do mine dark blue with a clear glitter on top

BCBird · 31/12/2023 20:19

I fancy silver or cream- got dark skin so should be a nice contrast

headcheffer · 31/12/2023 20:22

I've gone dark burgundy on toes, pale pink on fingers. Rare I don't match but I feel it's a nod to winter and a nod to freshness!

Ooh, that looks nice!

WhatsitWiggle · 31/12/2023 20:41

I've gone red - it's more wine coloured than it looks it the photo.

Pastels generally don't suit me, so I go brights in the summer and darks the rest of the time. I'm still put off dark blue after I got stuck with them for weeks in one of the Covid lockdowns.

Glossy chocolate brown

floraflo · 31/12/2023 21:15

I went French this week. Feels so nice to look clean and fresh after weeks of reds and dark colours.

Moveoverdarlin · 31/12/2023 21:18

This time of year I wear darker reds, deeper pinks. I wouldn’t wear pastel or neon in the winter months. I’m not a fan of blues, greens or anything too infantile.

tinselvestsparklepants · 31/12/2023 10:37

Neon!

Oh yes!!

tobee · 31/12/2023 22:48

Just taken off Chanel Rouge Noir. Thinking of putting on the nails Inc jammy red my dsis got me for Christmas. Forget the name. Or mirror silver for the lols.

thelongroad · 07/01/2024 10:06

Marking spot at I need inspiration too. I've had mine (just my regular short crappy nails, no acrylics or shellac etc) in a Catrice Beetlejuice, which is a shimmery silver/lilac/pink over the holidays although actually would have been perfect for January. Need something that doesn't look shit the moment it slightly chips or recedes at the top.

NoNotMyHair · 07/01/2024 13:25

Because the weather is so crap I have stayed with red - Belladonna!
