Dr Hanschuka's Rose Creme all the way!

TheHonEnid · 16/03/2008 20:45

well I use keihls abyssine moisturiser

also neals yard frankinsense creame is lovely and very good

if its for body then again i use keihls but the vaseline ones are great

Scarlet fever? Feck, poor you, how very 1940s... anyway, get ourself a tub of Aqueous Cream from any corner chemist and apply nice and thickly. It's unscented etc so will not irritate the skin. Oilatum is not bad, and E45 cream pretty good as well. The trouble with the fancier types of cream is that they are usually scented, and scent is alchol based therefore actually quite drying.

vaseline intensive care is very good. i am also trying that waitrose bottom butter on my legs. have never bought anythign really expensive for the body, i find they are usually posh fragrances and less moisturising.

E45, huge tub, costs nought

slap it on

expatinscotland · 16/03/2008 20:48

Dr Hanschuka NOT alcohol-based scent!

Great stuff.

Not cheap, though.

fishie · 16/03/2008 20:49

oh revlon one is also great. have a tester of abyssine, doesn't last like vaseline.

enid didn't you have success with dds and a lush product?

I'd go for a generous slathering of aqueous cream for a few days - it can be used in the shower as a wash cream too - preceded by a body exfoliator (try Clarins) so the maximum is absorbed. Or try (? correct name) Dermovate cream available from chemists. Very thick and will moisturise deeply. Then if you want a scented moisturiser for the pleasure of the scent, you have a lot of suggestions here ! I like Clarins extra moisturising body lotion, and maybe try Johnsons Holiday Skin too if you're heading for the beach with lily white legs.
