Those Birkenstock things - do you like them?

The slip on ones.

Seen people wearing them with socks and I know it looks 'off' in a way but I really like it Grin

Does anyone know where I can buy a reasonable looking knock off pair? Not really wanting to spend the £100+ on a pair as the fabric looks quite easily damaged.

Suede will last ages with protector spray used first

I’m currently wearing some snides from Asda men’s slippers section that look very similar to the clogs they are really comfy and will do til it’s sandal weather again when l revert back to Arizona’s

They shred the skin on top of my feet so a no from me.

I lived in Birkenstocks but then started to get horrendous pains in my feet. Turns out that I've got a few bones showing signs of arthritis and the chiropodist I saw told me to throw the shoes in the bin as they're the worst thing you can wear in terms of supporting your feet.

All the stuff about your feet molding to the corkbed is horseshit, to use their words.

People go on about Birkenstocks being so comfortable they could walk for miles in them across cobbled streets or up and down mountains - not in my experience they’re not. I’ve had mine for a few years now and the cork footbed is very unforgiving - I wear them for the look with my more slouchy summer clothing but there are far more comfortable sandals out there. DD has the Bostons and they’re just the same.

The boohoo knockoffs I got are actually really comfortable and for the price I paid I'm not overly bothered if they don't last. Just had a really long walk down the coast on Boxing Day and had no bother at all

I have Boston birkies that I wore for cooking (I ran a catering company) for years!
They are obscenely comfortable and very hard-wearing.
I am so pleased that they are trendy now, they are brilliantly made.

I think OP means these. I really like them!

My DH has a pair of them. He wears them instead of slippers. He is age 60.

I love mine. I originally bought them as “nipping out into the garden” shoes but they’ve grown on me so much I started to wear them out and about. I can’t drive in them though, otherwise I would wear them even more!
