...by the beautician! Never had one before, somebody tell me it's not utterly humiliating!! She said it feels much cleaner! I am concerned about seeing bits of myself I haven't seen for many years, especially as I have had an episiotomy!
Any Brazillian fans out there?

God, have you been waxed before?

Don't fancy that one bit. No way. I'd need a general anaesthetic to cope with that much pain.

Am I cynical to think she wants to have one, so you'll have to keep going back to get it done again, as the itching will be annoying therefore giving her more business?

Well, she actually booked me with someone else who is an expert. She said she 'only' takes 20 minutes! I never even get my bikini line waxed - I do it at home with tweezers, and yes it takes ages!
I asked her what I wear and she said 'nothing' . Oh God.

Is that all off or bit left in the middle?? I used to get the all off apart from the landing strip ( a la Porn films! ) and I loved it. Very sexy looking but hell to keep up but nice for a special occasion.

The more you have it done the more you get used to it and the easier it gets too.
I never found myself in that position - you're not having a back sack and crack are you!! Just lying / sitting up and used to keep my pants on - and sort of pull them up to reveal bits.

Don't be tempted to keep it up by shaving - hellishly itchy!!

No Dinny, I am very hairy! And it takes ages and ages. I do it if dh is away - it passes the time!

They take everyting off but leave a small strip at the front. When I see it on girls at the gym, I actually think it looks a bit silly! But it will be nice to not worry about stragglers poking out of my bikini bottoms.

Ew I wouldn't want it all off. I am a woman, not a 9 year old girl.

I like a good tidy up though, I used to have my bikini line waxed and didn't find it painful at all. I kept my knickers on and pulled them around so she could get to where she needed to be

Personally - if you have never had your bikini line waxed before then I wouldn't immediately go for a brazillian. I have tried them all, Hollywood, Playboy and Brazillian. They all hurt like buggery f*ck but look nice.

You don't have to be on all fours (PMSL at the thought) but you will need to have your pants off unless your beautician is prepared to work round them - some will.

You do feel 'cleaner' and is something I always get done before hols. Make sure you don't moisturise for 24 hours though as you will clog pores and used a gentle exfoliator on the area whilst the hair grows back to prevent spotty ingrowing hairs.

I got a bikini line wax done one. It started growing back in 4 days! beautician said I must have strong hair.
Now, I just keep it short(clippers), and tweeze out the edges now and again. Takes a bit of time, but they don't grown back that quickly really. Doesn't hurt if you take hold of the hair near the skin don't think I fancy bum in the air brazillian.

blousy - I have had the brazilian lots of times. I would suggest that you trim your hair first, the long the hair is the more it hurts.

I have never been on all fours and I have never been without pants. Where I go, they give you paper pants and you help the beautician by pulling the pants and skin to one side with one hand the pulling the rest of the skin taught with the other.

I am not going to lie - it does hurt, but gets easier after each session.

It does help if you take a couple of strong paracetomol about half an hour before.

i have a paracetamol and glass of wine half hour before i go, hope you dont get embarassed easily as they do get a glimpse of everything. havent been on all fours but have had my knee on my chin. sometimes re growth is a bit itchy scratchy. good luck.

You will be fine! I had my bikini line, full leg and underarm done yesterday. The most painful bit is right between the legs but if you pull the skin taut it hurts less. It can hurt more at particular times of your cycle - I think it is worse immediately before a period. You don't have to be naked and certainly not on all fours! A bit of bending and stretching will have you hair free in minutes
