Makeup for age +70 skin

I've tried searching for this but don't really know what I'm looking for. A relative in her 70's has asked for makeup for older skin for Christmas. Is that a thing? Are there brands or is it more the product choice? Do places offer makeovers like the counters in department stores? I don't think I can buy the products as I couldn't get the right shade, so a voucher or a makeover appointment would be ideal.

I hope this doesn't sound rude, I honestly don't know if makeup changes with age. Any advice would be most appreciated.

You might find some makeup videos for mature skin useful. Look at Lisa Eldridge on YouTube - she lists all the products used.
Depending on location, I’d suggest Bobbi Brown might be a good place to start, and ask for advice. They do makeovers in store - and staff are very helpful.

Delilah has some lovely makeup sets too, and an excellent primer. They also have a good makeup video for mature skin.

It's difficult now because the department stores have gone, from my area anyway. Maybe John Lewis if you can reach one?

I was going to recommend a powder foundation. I'm over seventy and don't like a made up look so I apply it lightly to take the shine off my nose and forehead, but you can cover more fully if you want. Mine is bareMinerals. It has a pad but at home I use a brush.

I also occasionally use mascara and bought primelash from PrimePrometics online. It's advertised as being for sparse eyelashes which mine now are. Not cheap but it works well for me and doesn't clog like many do.
(There's a similarly named mascara on Amazon but I don't think it's the real thing).

I came on to suggest Look Fabulous Forever

I'm not an expert but I would have thought it's the formulation rather than the brand that matters. I would avoid anything matt or powder as that settles into lines more (I'm already avoiding that in my 40s)

Studio 10 is supposedly just for mature skins.

Brilliant, thank you! A few ideas to get me started.

There is a big john lewis not too far away, I could suggest a day trip maybe.

I'll follow up the brands and videos. Thanks again.

My DM is 80 and uses Clinique even better foundation

She used Lancôme for years but then moved over to Clinique

She never wears powder because her skin has always been normal to slightly dry

She's always used Nivea blue pot and now Nivea soft pot

She looks younger than her years because of her cheek bones.

She uses Clinique eyeshadow too
