Going out to nice restaurant tomorrow.. what would you wear?

Imagine the scenario: going out to nice restaurant at 8pm. It's mid December, Saturday- meeting in pub for a few drinks at 7pm.
Home by 10.30pm

What would you wear?

I was out last night, similar scenario. I wore a dark green flowy shirt tucked in to slim black jeans, black Chelsea boots, black boxy Borg jacket, gold necklace. Worked for me.
I have flame red hair, which adds to the colour a bit!

I'll be eating out this evening. It's nice but not overly swanky and we're not going on anywhere afterwards. I'll probably wear jeans, a 1960s lurex top and a men's suit jacket with a couple of costume jewellery brooches. I will most likely be a bit overdressed.

Just getting dressed now. I've opted for:
Black velvet midi dress - M&S - very plain but a bit more low cut than I'd normally go for
Black suede over the knee boots with a small block heel
VW scarf and bag
Pink faux fur M&S short coat

Sounds vair nice Remus, especially the pink faux fur.

Thanks @Floisme DP kindly tells me that I look like a Glaswegian housewife in the pink coat, whatever that’s supposed to mean.

Last week I wore black jeans, ankle boots and a silver grey sparkly top. Next week I'm wearing black jeans, ankle boots and a silver grey velvet shirt . For pub lunch I'll be wearing silver grey sparkly jumper dress with thick tights and chunky boots .

All options black puffa jacket over the top .

I went out for a posh Christmas meal last weekend & wore tailored black trousers, a silver sequin cami with a slightly oversized blazer over the top & metallic strappy heels.
I loved my outfit but felt abit warm in the blazer, I took it off but then felt a bit exposed ( big boobs!) so put the blazer over my shoulders - felt very fashion hun 😁

I wore a relaxed fit mini dress from hush in dark florals with a tights and biker boots. It was very safe and probably a middle age cliche, twee bordering on frumpy perhaps.

I do get very hot. There is no way I could wear a jumper.

Coat was the most tricky as usually wear a long down jacket. Its was quite mild so wore a very old pink double breasted coat. I have gone off the coat.

It was ok! felt comfy and happy! Need a new coat for going out in.

Well, because it's December, I would wear something sparkly. But my december mission this year has been to fit in as many sequins and sparkles as possible, even if it's in a very low key way.

She has been!

My favourite item at the moment is a long sleeved animal print shirt dress. I'd wear it with tights and boots, hair up and hoop earrings. I always feel fab when I wear it! Boots for dinner, trainers for pub 😁

@StarlightLady that's okay, she asked what we would wear, so I think it's a nice outfit sharing thread 😊 I'm sure other people have similar planned in the next 2 weeks!

Knitted dress, opaque tights and knee high or ankle boots with a slight heel. Flat knee high boots if walking lots. Winter coat (black wool) over the top and a tonal scarf.

Alternative for me is wide leg black trousers and a knitted top of some sort, possibly with a bit of sparkle this time of year.
