Pilates wear

Not sure if I should post this in Exercise or S&B, anyhow...

I'm looking for cropped Pilates leggings, dark in colour, preferably plain or a not too noticeable pattern, under £30.

Also tops for Pilates, fitted or slightly looser, and decent socks too with the grips covering the whole foot rather than just the ball of the foot and heel.

The ones I've seen online all seem really expensive, I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something reasonable for my once a week class.

Clothing size 8-10, shoe size 4.

Thank you in advance.

TKMaxx for your leggings.
Tops - I wear a Matalan long line vest under a looser top. Top varies according to time of year and how cold the hall is.
Socks - we all wear fluffy oodie type slipper socks in winter and regular socks in summer.

Yes I agree, TKMaxx for leggings, really comfortable and excellent quality

Toesox for socks, they're not the cheapest but they're great, especially on the reformer and other equipment. I've only ever bought one pair and they've yet to die many years later. Decathlon sell some knock off version, no idea if they're any good.

While the socks are helpful (but not necessary) for pilates you don't need specific clothes for it. My favourite leggings are from Uniqlo (Airism sport range) that have a bit of compression which helps with form, I feel, and just any sports top. I'd advise against anything too loose as it becomes more difficult to assess your form for the instructor but if you're not comfortable in something more fitted just go with what you're confident in.

I use plain black or navy running leggings (long ones are karrimor from sports direct, calf length are Nike). Really doesn't matter much except make sure they stay put at the waist.
Similarly with tops - you want something fitted enough that it doesn't flop around when you're doing a downward dog or roll down!Grin mine are isocool base layer type of thing from walking shops. Long sleeves this time of year.

As to socks.... my instructor really recommends barefoot. I did get some grippy socks (iirc sports direct) but imo she's right, it's better without.

The other thing is a bra - it's not high impact but a decent low impact sports bra eg the noncompressive Shock Absorber type again helps keep things in place when your too half is inverted.
