Designer bag for daily active use with small children?

I'm looking for ideas for a fairly compact designer bag for daily use with small children. I used to have a leather mini backpack which was perfect but the zip has failed, the backpack was ideal because it was out the way and stayed put on my back when lifting toddlers around in parks and soft play etc. It will be used to stow a spare nappy, purse, gloves, small umbrella etc, not much more than that. Must be somewhat waterproof (i.e leather). I want something that is fairly youthful or universally classic and that is more of a city/commuter type bag or country chic, not a hiking backpack. I'm assuming a backpack is still the best option but am open to other styles of bag for the purpose. I'm not sure if backpacks are a bit dated now for every day use? The budget is flexible for the right bag, around £300-£2000.

Thank you for your help!

So sorry I didn't read the full OP just seen the budget, I only have mine as I saved all of the money we couldn't spend during covid!

What about a black prada nylon backpack? That's what I used when the kids were little and I still needed to lug around nappies but not as much as when they were newborns. It's water resistant and looks pretty classic.

Oh hey just realised you posted the same bag 😀
I'm stunned by the price increase though! Was only about £900 a few years back!

Get the backpack repaired

It is heavy and maybe not what you are looking for but when my children were toddlers / little my Mulberry Bayswater was my go-to bag (spacious and impossible to destroy, has survived d&v and anything you can dare to imagine).

I would go for a cross body bag - I had them from toddler age onwards as you can access the contents without having to take the bag off and are less likely to need to take your eyes away from what’s going on . You can have it on your side for security and push it behind you if people need picking up etc . Can’t help on specifics- I’m not into designer . I used a basic berghaus backpack for days out that could just go in the washing machine if need be and could carry water bottles snacks and the kitchen sink .
