Dermaplaning

Soo, better to go somewhere and have it done? Though I can’t go regularly due to the cost, OR I can do it myself, nearly as well, at home. If number 2, any recommendations on a derma plane kit? Or any tips?

I have had it done professionally and loved it, then read threads on here I think it was about how to do it yourself. I have the tweezerman blade and the pair that is sold on amazon, sorry, cant find link at moment.

I do it myself at home, just using razors like this:

I think you would get a better result from having it done professionally as they will exfoliate your skin properly; but doing it at home is fine. You just need good lighting to make sure you have got the hairs. Skincare and makeup goes on so much more smoothly. I do it once a week

Thats great thank you. I shall give it a go myself then 👍🏽

Does it cause stubble?

pickledandpuzzled · 11/12/2023 14:02

Is there a less single use plastic way to do it, does anyone know?

Does it cause stubble?

I would think so, seeing as it's pretty much shaving

Sexlivesofthepotatomen · 11/12/2023 14:42

Sorry, that sounded a bit snippy didn't it, wasn't intentional. I can't imagine not having stubble after, you would if you used a normal razor, I'd be worried I'd end up with visible stubble after a couple of days. I've got quite sensitive kind too so I'm not sure if I'd end up getting razor rash

squeekychicken · 11/12/2023 14:54

No it doesn't cause stubble. The hair on my cheeks just grows back as fluffy hairs.

Dreemhouse · 11/12/2023 21:53

Stubble was my worry but it definitely doesn’t grow back prickly or dark, just exactly the same as the peach fuzz type of hair that’s been shaved. If you are worried, just do a small area by your ear or jawline and leave it for a week to see what the re growth is like for you
