I am giving up my car soon and will be on foot a lot more with the kids. I have been searching for a perfect Spring jacket/coat which must be:

Hip length
Showerproof
Hooded
Single breasted
Reasonably slim fitting
Pretty damn gorgeous and stylish
Ideally under £100.
Anything but black/grey.

I am a short, curvy brunette.

Please help!

Patsy

YOu know what, I might have found it - what do you think?

PatsyCline · 13/03/2008 20:50

Thanks, JackieNo.

The only details I am a bit about are the chest and the drawstring hem:
Will those horizontal pockets make me look even more top heavy?
Is the drawstring hem a bit naff?
Am I being over fussy?!!!!

I think it may have just a little bit too much detail for me. It looks great in the picture on the model but the image of the green one doesn't look so good. I think that a local farm supplies shop stocks Joules (lots of very chic women farmers around here), so I might go and see the coat in the flesh tomorrow and buy some horse muck while I'm at it!

I know what you mean - but I suspect something less fussy may not have a hood. Have you looked at Boden? They usually have something along these lines.

JackieNo · 13/03/2008 20:54

Too old-ladyish I suspect.
There's this, but no hood.

thanks for your links to ghost sale last week jackieno: i have 3 beautiful new dresses! and so do friends....

JackieNo · 13/03/2008 22:02

Ooh , hoxtonchick. How lovely. It wasn't my link originally; someone else on here posted it for something else, and I was very impressed (especially with the prices), so I keep on posting it.

Ooh, off to check out Ghost bargains.

I do like the Landsend mac (other one is indeed too old ladyish) and it's cheap as chips but no hood. Is there such a thing as a stylish rain hat?!
