Best cheap face cream

I am feeling the pinch so can't justify my usual tropic face cream and oil but my skin is really suffering as a result. What is the best cheap off the counter face cream that I can probably pick up in town today? I have tried the q10 serum from Lidl but it's not working for me. Help!

Yes but I love the moisturiser tips 😂

Revolution Pro Miracle. The night cream is truly miraculous on my 44yo skin.

@SoapCollector we discovered Simplysoaps when we stayed overnight in a horsebox, in a small wood where they make their soaps, and they'd left a free sample for us. They're lovely soaps and don't contain any SLSs.

@Nat6999 I used aqueous cream as a moisturiser for several years, but stopped when the NHS advised against it as they said it contains SLSs and is very drying.

@3beesinmybonnet Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂

Nivea or Astral.
Moisturizers just need to moisturize.
No other ingredient (with the exception of a retinoid at 0.3% or more) will be in the cream in enough quantity to do anything.

Separate SPF 50, a vitamin C serum in the morning and a retinoid at night.

Any old cleanser that suits. As with moisturizer it has one job to do. Doesn't matter if it cost you £50 or £2.99 it gets your face clean then goes down the plughole in less than a minute. It can't do anything else in that time without containing actives.

The Ordinary moisturising factors. Doesn't clog pores, lightweight, skin feels moisturised, no excessive fragrance etc to cause allergies. I'm always surprised it doesn't get more love.

@SoapCollector I wash my face with Simplysoaps natural organic soap handmade in Norfolk, plus water and a flannel, every few days when I wash my hair. In between I just use water and a flannel, I have quite dry skin and don't want soap on it every day as I soon get red flaky patches. I use the thicker cream in the tub am and pm. The lotion wouldn't be thick enough for me. Similar to @JaninaDuszejko then, glad I'm not the only one!

Hi @3beesinmybonnet just coming back on to this thread to let you know that I placed an order with Simplysoaps, my order arrived today and I'm so pleased with the quality of the soap. I've used a bar in the shower and it's amazing, so creamy. No itching or dry skin after and not too expensive (as far as handmade soap goes) Just wanted to say thank you for the recommendation. 😁
