I had a makeup splurge

I love clothes and makeup but try not to overbuy as a general philosophy. However, I have been using things up for ages and could warrant some new stuff. I have just bought: Jones Road miracle balm (natural and Miami Beach), Trinny highlighter stuff (Dido), plus two beautiful lipsticks and a sparkly eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown. They are all so beautiful! I’m 43 and have only just discovered Jones Road and Trinny. These will last me forever.

Nothing more meaningful to say here. Just enjoying a guilt-free splurge. Anyone else done similar? 🙂

I like some of the Jones Road range but the miracle balm is horrible. Vaseline is cheaper and would have exactly the same effect. It really annoys me when I fall for hype and buy a failure.

I am 54 but I don’t care if I am too old ! I use it sparingly. Bobby brown do some pretty subtle pressed powder highlighters that are glittery but subtle.

You can return it Charlie is cool but I know what you mean. I was very underwhelmed by the neutral one .

I love the neutral one! I am very fair though and all makeup can easily look heavy / harsh on me so maybe that’s why…?
