Morning routine. Do you wash your face?

So I'm determined to get it right and sort out my very dry and sore skin with loads of blemishes. I have different products to use. For example night serums and moisturisers. So my question is what do I do with my face in the morning? Do I need to wash it with a cleanser first thing? It feels sticky to touch and it feels wrong to apply morning stuff just after washing it with water. Feels not enough. But I'm crazy about overusing cleansers and my skin is def dehydrated and irritated by all the anti-acne stuff. So maybe I'm wrong and just a bit of water is enough.

Do you use cleansers in the morning after your night routine?

Try only a cotton pad and micellar water in the morning, and a cleanser PM

This is what I do in the morning

Micellar water

I shower the night before because I have to get up early for work

I wash my face every morning in the shower with Cerave and then apply Cerave moisturiser. I wash it again every night, again with Cerave cleanser and moisturiser.

Unless I've got makeup to wash off, I only wash my face when in the shower with dove soap. I shower every other day.
I used to have awful acne all over face and neck until I was 30. Currently 33. Acne disappeared when i stopped washing my face two or three times a day and using every product under the sun on it.
My skin is completely clear now. Don't know when I last had a spot.

I wash my face morning and evening because I have really oily skin. I wouldn't be able to apply my make-up if I didn't cleanse off the oil that accumulates overnight.
If your skin is already dehydrated I would probably use micellar water or maybe a cleansing balm/oil.

I have also used Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for years now. Good for sensitive skin. Your skin afterwards looks, feels and smells great.

I have a very simple skin care routine- shower in the morning with a moisturiser afterwards. In the evening, I remove eye makeup, use a Boots mild face wash and water and moisturise after.
Great, young looking skin at 53 and I'm regularly told I look much younger. I think a lot of products and product changes can unsettle and irritate the skin so like to keep it really basic

@NinNinJin my skin used to be terrible but have it under control now apart from the odd flare up.
Firstly don’t over use products I found too much made my skin sore. Now I mainly use the ordinary. Wash with squalane cleanser AM/PM I then use nicacinamide serum and finish with their moisturiser natural moisturising factors. If you go on their website you can build a routine based on your concerns. I highly recommend it to anyone

I just splash my face with water. Only use cleanser to remove make up, on the very rare occasions I use make up! I use moisuriser in the morning. Not sure if my lifelong aversion to products on my skin is the reason for healthy complexion, or if its just luck.

Boots 'rose' range- very cheap but still effective. I have the cleanser, toner and moisturiser and use these 3 twice a day.
