I need help - two weddings and nothing to wear, poor Cinders

Right you fashionistas. I need help. I have two weddings to go to this summer and I haven't got a clue (been busy having babies for a couple of years and my sartorial standards have slipped).

1st wedding in May, in the Highlands - could be quite nippy

2nd wedding in July on a ship down south - rule is no stillettos - heels must be at least 1.5cm wide. Afternoon/evening

I am not a spring chicken, and my legs are pale and Scottish, so I don't want anything too short. Evening.

Both fairly informal weddings, but I need to dress up a bit.

Limited budget, because we're about to move house, but not teeny-tiny. Would like to wear the same thing to both weddings.

Any suggestions gratefully fallen upon.

Thanks.

sorry, no suggestions for an actual outfit.

yep. wear the same outfit for both weddings- as along as they are too different groups of guests. and maybe change your accessories and jacket or shawl so you look different in your own pics.
maybe trousers if its going to be nippy.

good luck

Thanks - yes, totally different guest lists, so won't be a problem to wear the same outfit, and not bothered about the pics.

I was thinking maybe trousers too - I like the wide-legs that are around atm.

try e-bay - I have just bought a gorgeous grey jersey dress (new) for £5, with a baby blue 3/4 length coat for £15 (new again) and grey courts and bag for £10 and £15 each.(new too). I am wearing this outfit to 2 christenings within a week of each other and am chuffed to bits that I got the lot got £45!

i was thinking wide leg too.

great idea from bitlesstirednow.
last year sold just-worn-once 'designer' clothes on ebay. ex condition and was happy with the price i got.

so you may pick up a bargain. special occasion stuff tends to be sold in really good condition as it worn so little.

if not. coast usually do nice dressy stuff. trouser are about £75 though. but usually dry clean only.

or for less £ try m&s autograph collection or per una. or debenhams designers. or wallis.

or if near you, try Zara. not the best quality for repetitive washing a wear. but reason £ and trendy.
had a really nice sequined detailed belero jacket/cardi last time i was in.

have surf online.

sorry for rambling on!!
