Any suggestions for my hair?

Hi , I am looking for suggestions on my hair.
I love to wear it styled and curled when the hairdresser does it but it never lasted. This is how I wear it when I style it myself. I am in my mid 50"s and I don't want to cut it too short.

Any suggestions for my hair?

Surprised how many people are suggesting a bob, they are really popular on here it seems.

You have beautiful hair op and look stunning ( even with the squiggles).

I would avoid a bob , you could grow it a few inches longer. Colour wise I wouldn't change thing , shiny dark hair is the holy grail imo.

I can't believe that you are in your 50's , my hair is so frazzled ( I'm a similar age).

Longer fringe/layers at the front. I am jealous of your thick shiny hair tbh op!

Tomatina · 27/11/2023 02:02

It's lovely thick healthy hair. I wouldn't do a lot, but some highlights might look good. The fringe is maybe a bit short - if you had it longer it would be more versatile and you could sweep it to one side if you wanted a change. Avoid centre partings - very unflattering on most faces, and don't cut it too short, you need to show this hair off!

You have nice hair I like the way you styled it. But maybe heated hair rollers and a setting lotion will help hold curl. My hair won't hold a curl unless I put heated curlers on with my hair still slightly damp.

Is this a look how fabulous I look post OP, with my shiny , thick hair and glowing skin ?

You do have gorgeous hair @Primrosehillgirl .
A few curls would look lovely , I definitely wouldn't cut it.

I think a bob would look good @Primrosehillgirl . Long hair can be very aging over 50 or even earlier. I would also go lighter as it's very dark for someone your age.

Rubbish

Your hair is in great condition for someone in their 50's OP, may I ask what products you use?
Mine has really suffered since the menopause.

This are way out of my budget OP, I didn't even realize shampoo could cost that much 😳.
Your hair looks amazing though.

Charlieradioalphapapa · 06/12/2023 11:27

I’d not do anything radical as it looks thick, in good condition and is a very versatile . Maybe some very subtle caramel highlights as suggested and a few layers around the face. If a centre parting would suit you that could be nice.

WinkyTinky · 06/12/2023 11:32

I would kill for your hair! Mine is like floaty cotton wool 😫
A few caramel highlights round the front, more of a sweeping fringe and you're done. Perfect!
