I’m so wrinkly!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good treatment/cream/serum for deep forehead wrinkles? I’m always raising my eyebrows and it’s really starting to show!

Botox

Botox

Thanks! I’m trying to find something less invasive if it exists.

Botox!

Oceancreature · 22/11/2023 13:25

Red led mask may be worth looking into

ManchesterLu · 22/11/2023 13:53

Botox is honestly wonderful if it's done well.

AlwaysGinPlease · 22/11/2023 14:28

There's nothing else OP. Botox will change your face and your life!

EauNeu · 22/11/2023 14:38

Botox is v easy quick and effective. Tretinoin is good for fine lines but not for those deep ones and it takes weeks and weeks.

justalittlesnoel · 22/11/2023 14:44

Honestly if they're deep then I'd go for Botox! It'll stop them getting any deeper / worse. Skincare can only do so much, you can plump / hydrate the skin but that won't stop the wrinkles forming but might improve the look of them.

yellowlane · 22/11/2023 14:45

Botox or potenza.

ColourByNumbers88 · 22/11/2023 15:53

Out of interest how much does Botox cost for a forehead? And how many treatments and how regularly do you need to get them?

hiddle · 22/11/2023 15:55

Anyone know what works for under eye wrinkles? I don't mean crows feet, but the bits under your eyes that wrinkles when you smile/squint?

closingdownsale · 22/11/2023 17:08

Smashbox primer is ok for a slight polyfilla effect. And I got this serum by Cha Vohtz which was really good at reducing fine lines (was like £40 for a little bottle though). I've had compliments when I've used them

I think you can sort out the fine lines, just not the proper wrinkles.

Cotswoldmama · 22/11/2023 17:14

Wrinkles are inevitable but you can make you skin the best in can be and try to prevent more with a strong retinol like Tretinoin. I use skin+Me there's a link below for a month free

Botox and fillers aren't for me so I'm trying to embrace the aging but make sure my skin is as good as it can be.

Sowrinkly · 22/11/2023 17:23

There so many options for skin stuff it’s really difficult to know what is the best option.

No skincare product is going to get rid of deep wrinkles. Retinol products, especially tretinoin will help your skin look better over time, more glowy and help fine lines look less obvious, but to be honest they won't erase deep set wrinkles. Also it takes months to see good results with tretinoin.

Botox is a good treatment even for deeper wrinkles, I was also told that some filler in an elevenses line on my forehead would sort it out, although I never went ahead with it. So maybe that could help you.

If you don't want botox or fill you could maybe try and in office treatment, like fraxel or even a chemical peel, which would slough off the top layers of skin and also stimulate collagen production. However the down time can be rough and results might now be as good as you hope.

Botox is the only thing that will sort out deep lines.

This was always my thing, a proper Claudia Winklman fringe… but like a fool I changed my hair and now I can see my head 🤦‍♀️😂

I'm more scared of a chemical peel than Botox! I saw a horrific reel of one the other day!

Lifestylechoices · 22/11/2023 20:19

if you have Botox ms it’s obviously paralyses those muscles do they then become weak and then after a while you need filler as well ? I keep thinking I’d like Botox but worry once I start it will just end up I need more and more things done ?

Lifestylechoices · 22/11/2023 20:19

and not ms

bimbimbap · 22/11/2023 20:21

Results can be great after 1 treatment so long as the dose is right, and after that its maintainence every 4ish months. Price depends on where you go / where you’re based, and supervised training clinics (where nurses & dentists are trained to use injections for this purpose different to they day job) are a really good option. I go to a really good one in London if anyone wants a recommendation, and pay £195 for 3 areas of botox + 1ml of filler wherever you want it.

I worry about that too.

I just think paralysing muscles may lead to volume loss if muscles aren’t being used ? I’m not a scientist though so I may be wrong !

It doesn’t happen to be a chain with a branch up north does it?
